Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

AT&T TV ?

What's the scoop?
Is it woke?
Is it a joke?

Or maybe both ?

"Woke" is BOTH:

  1. Unironically used by diversity advocates
  2. Disparagingly used by it's naysayers

So for you to assume the latter says more about you then any group you choose to grandstand against.

AT&T TV is as poorly executed as just about everything else our company puts out.

The service itself is inferior to what UVerse TV and DTV offer, both in usability and features. For the price, especially during the second year of the contract, ATTTV does not match our competition.

Of course, the real reason to replace UVerse with ATTTV was to have customers install the service themselves and lay off installers. In that regard, ATTTV is a complete failure.

An installer is still required to install and later maintain the internet inside and outside the home. Beyond that, connecting UVerse set top boxes, especially wireless boxes, was a quick process. ATT TV boxes on the other hand, have a very poorly designed interface that takes much longer to install and usually requires a technician to figure out since most customers are not that tech savvy.

After going through the clunky process of connecting the box to wifi, it then takes a ridiculously long time to do all its updates and reboots. Then, much later, the box asks for a user ID and password. The problem is, NOBODY KNOWS what the ID and password are! The customer has never been given this information before hand. Even if you just registered the customer's internet it may or may not be what they just chose during the registration. If not, good luck figuring out what it is.

You then call in to tech support and they may or may not be able to give you the information you need. If not, they direct the customer to a website to reset their password, which SURPRISE! does NOT usually work!

All in all, AT&T TV is a very poorly executed disaster. BAU around here.

Why? Because “anonymity” is the small-d–ked, fragile ego’d, racist white man’s best friend, that’s why.

It’s where they’ll go off and say things they’d never say to others faces in public, because they don’t have the sack, and are cowards.

You are better off, putting in rabbit ears on your tv and paying for Netflix. Thats cheaper and you will get better content.

Hey don't forget that as part of the HBO Max strategy Stankey wants to create more woke content to server the invisible and underserved members of households to make the product more sticky, so of course it's going to be woke, which is part of why it's a joke.

Why. Why does almost every post now have to have some sort of racist angle to it? If it's not using fake pidgin to insult Chow it's using codewords like "woke" or BLM for people to spew this rancid hatred and anger.

Why? Are there really that many fragile, racist white men working for AT&T?

it’s a joke, if it’s selling in retail it’s because managers get creative & slam it on customers through reps..

IT'S A JOKE!!!

2 yr contract, has to be set on auto draft and billed separately as a paperless bill, you can't stream more than 3 channels at a time.

Rates are great the first year, but then the 2nd year the rates are ridiculously high and no promotions or discounts will apply to the service, so telling customers to call back to renegotiate after the first year, needs to stop. Customers are locked into market value rates.
