I heard they are making Atlanta the main hub? People are being forced to relocate there or be RIFd. Any insights? What areas have been asked to relocate , apply for a position & interview?

There sure are a lot of open positions in Atlanta on the internal job board. Super weird. Are they creating those positions there for other people being RIFd from other teams?
I know some coworker hiring managers are being asked a lot to hire from the RIFd aero teams.
What will happen to HCE, Atlanta when the 2Qtr numbers are announced? A lot of ppl that were RIF'ed in Atlanta found safe havens in other areas of honeywell such as corporate or other connected groups. Don't know how long those areas will be safe.
Last year, HCE attempted to force me to Atlanta. I told them f— no, Atlanta (mostly traffic) s—s and the state actively engages in voter suppression. They actually agreed with my voter suppression point, but admitted Georgia/Atlanta gave them tax breaks to locate there versus a couple of other options, so they took them.
TLDR: I'm not in Atlanta, nor in HCE presently.
Nobody is being forced to go to Atlanta.
Are they still hiring new positions in Atlanta?
Atlanta the toilet. They likely don't plan to keep that location for much longer. It's starting to not be a good state for big business.
If you relocate there, be sure to brown bag your lunch...don't plan on eating at Wendy's any time soon.
I was told that 70 JLL people (our building resources) were all laid off last week. These resources are in Atlanta as well as other Honeywell locations in the us.
HCE -the new software SBG that was formed in 2018... the Atlanta office was hit by both furloughs and RIFs. Entire scrum teams were let go. Or course no numbers were given. They continue to cull the heard because of poor hiring and COVID. I know of someone that was RIF'ed last week. There is still a list they will be working on the rest of the year. But that list may be revised after 2Q numbers are released. It's not over.
