Is ATT posturing to get rid of legacy DirecTV employees? Legacy techs being removed from IP and sent back to DirecTV only ….. no matter how good their numbers. Conversely, poorly performing techs, who chose to do DirecTV, being returned to IP side. Only difference, from what I understand, is legacy status. Just curious.

Plot Twist:
ATT executives saw the error of their mismanaging ways and decided to give DTV another shot. Then they can decide to either keep it or sell it at the right price.
Hopefully DTV goes away completely. I hope CNN goes with it. Both are complete wastes of resources.
We are being told at our yard, legacy prem tech, that july 1st all our dtv products are being removed and no longer doing dtv installs.
There is a glimmer of light at the end of this tunnel for DTV workers.
If true, that would be the best thing for DTV.
Rumor is they're going to be sold to Dish. But actually, the truth is, do you really expect to trust AT&T? They are a toxic and troubled organization. No HEALTHY company survives or meets their numbers by downsizing. That is a company in a very serious downward spiral.
Ya but video also includes uverse tv att tv etc. so if this rumor is true of legacy d tv techs to me it’s means a sale or merger. Last that the Elliot management cant be involved.
Sounds like prep for a possible spinoff of DIRECTV. It has been rumored for a while and with moving video under its own group with this last reorg makes it cleaner to show costs and eventual spin off.
