Let’s remember that this isn’t all that bad for everyone. I actually got a promotion today and a bit of a pay increase. Just wanted to make sure that the visitors to this board realize that this whole scenario can be a good thing for those of us that have been actually working hard

A bit of a pay increase well done remember you'll not live forever with your bit of pay increase bum licker
Dah ..this is the layoff site. Inappropriate to post that here IMO.

Not that I agree with how this person posted/boasted their success, but this type of situation is true. A person was working closely with on a project was approached by HR the day after he/she was informed about being laid off from his/her current position to be interviewed for another position. He/She got the job and a promotion. I am happy for him//her but this seems to be the exception.
@1biz "Just got my promotion pay raise, double the salary now." I'm calling BS on that.
Ok Boomer
Just got my promotion pay raise, double the salary now.
To the OP.
1 lot of people who actually work hard get laid off
2 you may not realize it but you drank the Koolaid. You are feeling good about your promotion and tiny raise thinking you deserved it, you may have a future there unlike the lazy overpaid ones who got laid off, things w I’ll get better. Guess what, companies promote cheaper paid folks with tiny raises all the time to keep them on the hook. You’ve been had, so don’t flatter yourself.
And at the end of the day you still work for Honeywell where a raise means you’ll come a little closer to actually making your base salary between all the furloughs and pay cuts over the years. You can have it. Fortunately I got out.
How is losing your job being dramatic anyway??!! If you can’t see that as something that draws emotion then you’re a soulless rock.
I got your promotion(s) hanging
Do not rub salt on wounds. Karma will come for you.
Remember at Honeywell you do not climb the ladder, instead you swim the swamp and eventually and eventually succumb to the elements.
Proof that to move up anymore you have to have zero empathy, tact, or common sense.
Hey Tough guy how about not being anonymous
@tkn
I'm just glad to get some confirmation that Darius can read
After a major cut, promotions are always handed out. Its a known psychological trick that is used to drive loyalty. It's then followed by limited raises, cuts in healthcare, other b.s. because those remaining will likely swallow it better.
Probably the look I did and I did this and I I I type person to make self look good even though they stink like a TREX with short arms.
At the least petty if true. Who got fired to ensure your pennies of a pay increase?
And to your, “...those of us that have been actually working hard.” Eat me. Who the hell do you think you are in the assumption almost none of us are working hard?
Congrats on the promotion Karen!
Didn't know Darius posted here.
Good to know he reads this.
WTF?
Who was the 20-year employee who just got fired so you could get your promotion?
This is a troll. Nothing more. None of what this person is saying is remotely true.
Found Darius.
