Send those directors to off airport as MTs or maybe even an MA2 if they are half decent and the GM can be a BM1 somewhere to start
Trying to pad managers at AP since HLE locations are closing down they are hoping to run HLE at the AP'S. Will see no union push back as that was part of the agreement to bring back more counter staff. You can see the transition happening with the reduction in HLE GM and now dual oversight happening for GM to cover AP and HLE.
The title means nothing; Directors in Estero earn well into six-figure salaries, Operations Directors are paid less or par with new hire analyst in Estero HQ.
They are adding Directors at AP but cutting GM's at HLE. My RGM got the hook last week. Pretty nuts! Still so much favoritism on who is kept and who goes.
This tells you how far away management wants to get away from the customers. The more layers they have the less likely they will have to interact with the many upset customers. Then you can blame the front line staff an managers

This post is so true! Left the company over a year ago, but enjoy keeping up with my former co-workers. I was a "Director", and can't believe the position hasn't been cut yet. I remember the big Director meetings in Las Vegas a few years back and the big waste of time and money they spent on this. Hertz is so foolish and they always find another way to waste the shareholders money. Director level should be eliminated asap.
