Thread regarding Hertz layoffs

Where have the most layoffs happened?

I’m just curious which employees have been laid off and where the most affected layoffs have happened (ie geographic locations)

Most laid offs are in the operation department

Surely being laid off is one of the qualifications of being on this website, so that makes the person from Europe uniquely qualified to be on here?

Sounds like you are one of those Hertz “leaders” that likes to get rid of people?

What are you still doing on this website if you have been laid of 2 months ago?

Stop saying none were laid off in Europe - I categorically was laid off at the end of April. Best thing that ever happened to me.

None in Europe! ILT are waiting for Hertz Europe to go bankrupt and then the governments here will have to foot the redundancy bill.

Getting ugly in the West. More cuts at the GM level! Is this "business as usual"?

There been no lay-offs in Europe that have been planned by the ILT. C’mon the whole lot of them are keeping all the moolah for themselves

Not true - I was laid off.

  • but then that was my plan all along - I’ve been waiting for a Global pandemic to come along to make my escape (seriously, according to HR).

None in Europe because the ILT are preserving cash for themselves.

Denver got hit hard. CSRs and VSAs incurred severe cuts. Many experienced personnel let go and zero callbacks. No more dedicated Lost and Found. Virtually a skeleton crew. Plenty of managers running around checking up on the frontline folks though. I pass by a local HLE periodically and it appears shuttered with a full lot of cars.

Huge layoffs in the West both AP and HLE. And I head it not over yet!

Every region does it so differently for head counts. It's amazing that the AP Director positions have not been cut yet. Who needs a Director of Admin for god sack. And a Director of Ops and one for Customer service. At locations the 3 sit around and just shoot the sh*t all day. Management overhead is through the roof, it will need to be cut. And why would you need a GM at tiny AP;s with less then 6 flights per day, and Directors. The party will be ending soon. Don't worry we are discussing it right now in Estero.
