Yes; I’ve been on some of those orders requiring less tech intervention. Walk up to the door, and customer has a stack of set tops for you to install, after you get the service to their home. No time built in for this extra work, and why am I creating Google accounts for voice assistant? And is the customer doesn’t know their password; you are screwed. Tech savvy customers can install; seniors looking to save a buck churning, not so much. Another epic fail.

ATTv is so poorly designed this must be a conspiracy to get rid of customers too.
I'm not sure how it reduces labor because you still have to install the internet and then the silly ATTv box which takes longer than installing a uverse wireless stb. Plus you then have to call in to Mumbai to figure out which customer id and password it wants you to put in, so there's 3rd world overseas labor cost involved too.

I would call it an outright goal. Not really a conspiracy.
