Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

No one is safe

My department was hit with a huge staff reduction a year ago and we were overwhelmed with work. I thought we would be safe as we were at a minimal staffing level and could barely keep up with the workload, often falling behind. A few months ago, they shut us down and outsourced our jobs. No one is safe. They don’t care how busy you are or how valuable the work you do is. They are willing to do anything right now to become the cheapest insurance company.

As an Esurance employee, we were blindsided 5 days before Christmas and then given no info until almost 5 months later; totally Sh–ty !!!

Too important but probably can do with one less person just fine. No department is “safe” and if people think so they are clueless.
