The employees had a leaving party after she left to celebrate, many court cases about unfair pay and bullying of employees, and some major scandal with one of her directs.

I’m on furlough and received an invite for the business update tomorrow at 3:15pm. But then received a cancellation shortly after. There was some blurb in the invite about c11. What does your invite say?

Yes please keep us on furloughed updated. My manager has been busy posting Hertz news on LinkedIn. But hasn’t had the decency to give me a call to at least check in.

The message tomorrow is not going to be about redundancy. We will be dished lies in a triumphant tone like insolvency was the best thing to ever happen to Hertz. There will be lots of back padding, brown nosing and statements around how great things are. We will be stronger my a–.

There is no room for bad news tomorrow. 50% loosing their jobs will be done later in some obscure, unfriendly and intransparent way that only Hertz knows how.
I don’t understand why they would exclude furloughed employees. Wouldn’t we be the first ones made redundant?

I was in the first lot furloughed. I got the invite for Tuesday business update on Saturday and then got a cancellation shortly. Nothing else since then. Maybe they are just giving an update to those not furloughed?

Unfortunately though Europe has been effected and therefore this is your notice that under UK law the business is now entering the consultation period, this will not effect everyone, but everyone is being consulted Bla Bla Bla, given they would have to pick up a % of furlough after August they have made this decision, also will blame the UK self isolation when returning from abroad from 8th June.
The restructure plan will be completed end of June when you will be notified further, lost of apologies and blame and you will get letters or emails....and a cupcake.
OH and while we are in a Chapter 11 bankruptcy and half of you will be made redundant with only the GOV weekly amount, AB is flying back to Atlanta spending 6k on a business class flight for personal not BUSINESS reasons s— it up......
There was a business update (invite sent with 784 personal emails of furloughed UK employees) on Tuesday but has been hastily cancelled. Why the sudden u-turn, well your guess is as good as mine.
