Correct they don’t subsidize but they are switching those to a cobra plan which is more expensive then the one we are paying as a active regular employee
That’s the catch make it sound like it’s the same But it’s not

Does IBM even subsidize spouse coverage anymore? I'm surprised that the price would go up.
BTW is the offer a year of subsidize medical outside of COBRA, then COBRA for 18 months, with 12 months subsidized? Or is it just straight COBRA for 18 months with 12 months subsidized?
If you call fidelity they will give you the estimates and in my case the cost that I am paying today was higher to keep my spouse in my plan you all should call fidelity health benefits and they will give you the estimates
To the creator of this thread, where are you seeing that spousal coverage will be higher ?
I am not seeing that detail in the info package.
I believe that dental and vision coverage will be higher, but have no idea to what extent.
This may not be the case for everyone everywhere, but if you have a family check with the local state section of healthcare.gov - I know for me in NC I am able to get a marketplace plan that is cheaper than the IBM provided healthcare employee costs.
How much was the increase for the spouse over what you were already paying?
