@9jf1
can you please explain these concepts - more money, career progression and job security :-)
@9j5k I figured the same, anything was better than working for Keyloop. I soon picked up work. Couldn't be happier, more money, career progression and job security.
Keyloop's current leadership highlights the fact that they are not trustworthy. Customers despise them. Associates have had enough of their BS. Business credibility is established by consistently delivering on promises, maintaining transparent communication, and showcasing expertise to earn customer trust.
It's damage limitation now and beyond the point of any return.
@9j5k
We’ve slipped back into a cycle we’ve seen before, and the results speak for themselves. When we treated people like capable professionals and gave teams the autonomy to breathe, innovation actually happened. Now, we’ve traded that for a "stick-only" management style, and performance is tanking because of it.
It’s clear the focus has shifted entirely to hitting a specific "bailout" number to satisfy VC interests. But in the rush to squeeze out every drop of revenue, leadership has broken the very chain that makes the company successful:
Happy Employees → Happy Customers → More Revenue → Happy Employees
The Current Breakdown
The "Serf" Mentality: Treating staff like cogs in a machine instead of adults ki-ls morale. You can’t command someone to be creative or go above and beyond through fear.
The VC Trap: When the only goal is a short-term exit or bailing out investors, long-term health gets thrown out the window. We’re sacrificing the future of the company for a number on a spreadsheet.
Leadership Disconnect: Our SLT and legal-heavy oversight don’t seem to grasp that people management is business management. You can't run a viable, sustainable company if you've upset every person responsible for building it.
The Bottom Line
We are accruing "human debt." By ignoring the culture and focusing purely on extraction, we're left with a business that looks "compliant" on paper but is hollow and stagnant in practice. You can’t force growth while simultaneously suffocating the people who create it.
What would actually happen if Keyloop eliminated all SLT members and instead adopted a modern, trust-based management style in which individual functional managers were allowed to form small management teams tailored to their products and geographic regions?
The latest research in this area shows that modern leadership has shifted from a top-down command-and-control model to a horizontal, people- and trust-centered approach, where leaders act as coaches who give employees autonomy and foster engagement. In this type of framework, trust is not merely a soft skill, but a concrete advantage that, on average, increases employee engagement (76%), boosts productivity (50%), and reduces stress by 74%. The question is whether the ELT and FP dare to be modern or whether they will cling to their British, imperialist management style, which belongs more to the 18th century than to 2026—the year most of us are actually living in. The fact is that there are more and more high-salaried lazy SLT members and fewer and fewer employees who actually generate revenue for the company, so if you can put two and two together to make four, you can also see why, in terms of accounting, customer satisfaction, and finances, things are only going one way—and it’s the wrong one.
That is why, I after 20 years in the company, submitted my resignation today—things just aren’t getting any better, and this isn’t because I have a new job, but because even unemployment is better than Keyloop, both for body and soul.
@9hqq The business doesn't value it's employees, period. The lack of merit increase this year (for some, not all) is a pay cut. You are probably doing extra workload, that of your previous work colleagues who were shafted and "made redundant". Sorry, it's not redundancy is it. It's a sham process and it ends up being a mediocre pay off, for those who know their time is up and know they are better off gone. The real ones getting shafted are the ones who remain.
The loyalty shown by those who have been here for a long time is commendable. Unfortunately, under Keyloop's crooked leadership, loyalty means nothing and adds to the reason more and more workload is being put on members of different departments, heads are being reduced and roles are being moved out to the cheaper economies.
You probably do not realise it, but you are doing exactly what the KLT wants to achieve.
The business needs to fail in order for it to get better for all. People need to start to say no and refuse the extra workloads and pressures being placed upon them. Managers need to get some backbone and start supporting their team members, instead of happy clapping and continually saying yes.
Be aware my dear European DMS Product friends, your job is moving to Prague. Especially if your country is in the top of the list Keyloop base their strategy around: https://ec.europa.eu/eurostat/databrowser/view/nama_10_fte__custom_13597179/bookmark/table?lang=en&bookmarkId=c29eed24-377e-4763-aaf0-0419906d2ecd&c=1730705507900
So either wait for the redundancy compensation or leave in time, but don’t be surprised.
It so sad to see what is happening to the DMS space, on the other hand it’s no surprise as both Tom and Harvey Harvey have been both internally and public announcing how Keyloop is not a DMS company - despite it’s the main driver of revenue.
@9hq2 I'm being 'realistic' when I say this. Some of us have mortgages and families to support, having the security of a job means more than jumping ship just because we dislike a few kn0bs at the top of the chain. KEYLOOP isn't a bad company, some KLT and some SLT are.
You wouldn't write off an entire orchard just because of a few bad apples.
I know plenty of really decent people still at keyloop, some of them are director and SLT level, it's not all bad!
I still value my job ALOT.
@9hhw Reading this entire thread on Keyloop. I would ask why you would remain in a company which treats so many with utter disregard. What is keeping yourself and others, especially those with long service (I guess there are not that many now) at Keyloop? My only guess would be you are close to retirement and waiting for some form of payoff or redundancy payment. I know many who, like myself have taken the money and moved on to better things. Know your worth, there is so much better out there.
HR actively targeting any remaining people on legacy pension arrangements. Cost cutting wherever possible due to ongoing financial losses. If you have not yet been told you are in an at risk pool, you are more than likely on a low wage and you are probably doing the role of multiple people. It's only a matter of time before they come for you.
Genuine questions to those who have gone: do you not think there are worthwhile people still here; what do you think of us for staying; especially when plenty of us have 20+ years of service?
Any more news on the latest redundancies, is it just CE being targeted?
@9hea Don’t go to the competitors. Do as I and go to the OEMs. From there you can ensure that Keyloop loose it’s endorsement and ensure that the KLT and Senior Leadership will fail so massively that they will never get to lead another company again.
Personally I’m proud of my 3 lost OEM endorsements so far, and more coming up.
Have a nice day.
Anybody know if any of our competitors are recruiting at the moment or have any contact details for anyone? Decided to finally get my act in gear and leave this toxic culture behind. I can't wait for a payoff, I need to take a leap of faith and get out.
@9h5f
Knowledge is expensive.
Lack of knowledge is cheap.
Decision made.
Once again no lessons learnt from past excercises of this nature. These resulted in a negative customer experince and feedback which create addtional churn - the thing we are suppoosed to be stopping!
Still the VP vampires will be getting their dollar at the expense of good staff and disgruntled customers.
Wether in India or Vietnam, product knowledge is nowhere near the UK faithful.
It's the UK experience and knowledge that carries you.
@9h0r such an aggressive response, I'm guessing you must be based in India.
@9gkv you must have had d-mb flakes for dinner since 1 single Google will teach you that Vietnam and especially ho chi min city where we are based is slightly more expensive than India.
@9gkv is there anyone other than Indians left to train them?
Vietnam is much cheaper than India so it makes sense for the company to start looking in that durection for future investment. I can't speak much for the quality in Vietnam as I've not had the pleasure of working with anyone from there yet. It can't be any worse than India.
Lol - sh1thouse of a company
@9gkd interesting as I'd heard India was out and Vietnam in.
CE not meeting onshore/offshore targets so 49 roles being moved to India/Prague
Which area is being targeted now?
How sad are these mo--ns on LinkedIn all posting the same text. Just sheep being told what to do and of course doing it as brain dead. Cull these first!!!
“ One of the things I value most about working at Keyloop is the focus on building inclusive, high-performing teams.
Fantastic to see Tom Kilroy Kilroy renewing his Patron Gold membership and continuing to champion this alongside the Auto30Club community.”
yet another cull underway
@9g17 what a sad individual you are, because some people care that does not make them wrong, or a disgrace like yourself
So. A single PM in a company of thousands left. Everybody dies?
@9fwz this is exactly the attitude why Keyloop have and are going to continue to fail
Nobody cares, nothing to see here, please move along. Your opinion is irrelevant.
Another ex-Kerridge colleague let go (product, Spanish office). 25 years of experience and knowledge walking out of the company. Death by a thousand cuts?
The question: what are you all talking about?
The epilogue
The start
The End
HR appear busy at the moment. They don't seem to reply to emails. They seem to make lots of errors in that department. There appears to have been a lot of infighting lately between them. Busy with fake layoffs and trying to cover their tracks maybe? Ooooh to be a fly on the wall!
@9ee7 I received it last night, along with several others from HR or SLT, but now it seems to have disappeared from my inbox. Maybe it was a dream—or more like a nightmare..??
That said, in Germany, for example, they’ve operated with an empty office (the old one) while another (the new one) was in use (like no one going there), so they don’t mind incurring double expenses; the extra costs for empty offices can, in accounting terms, be deducted so they aren’t included as part of the fixed expenses.
@9ec8
What announcement? Sounds like nonsense.
Annoucments are made via internal systems and there is nothing about this.
Doubtful they will close our office (in Europe)
Scaremongering?
Must say that it's some announcement they just made—they’re starting to close all offices except for Hyderabad, Montreal, and Reading. You can agree or disagree with the stated reason, but there’s no doubt that it stems from Keyloop’s inability to meet FP’s financial expectations. And yes, why pay expensive rent and other associated costs when the pandemic has shown that you can easily work from home? However, the announced timeline—by the end of August—is a bit unrealistic and clearly driven by the lack of financial success.
FP, Tom, and the rest of KLT have probably also seen “Channel 4 Dispatches: Will AI Take My Job?” and are naturally looking in that direction as well. We’re certainly heading toward an interesting future at Keyloop.
