@9t9v post makes no sense, and you have no idea how businesses apportion cash. If you're going to troll or be angry, at least make it make sense.

And the closure of hardware and the removal of associated support staff is the reason for no pay rises and bonuses for the minions recently. The money saved for not paying the increases is covering the low redundancy pay.
The kick in the teeth was people were doing the workloads of their previously departed colleagues for pi££ poor wages.
The extra months money is slave labour and taking advantage of long served employees

So, all those celebrations and self-congratulatory events over the years weren't actually about the company's success, but simply about the executives' bonuses and huge earnings?

@9t5b Some of the people getting laid off were asked to stay until October to help with the transition period, and they're getting an extra month's pay for it.

The sale is imminent, really, without any interested buyers that would make that extremely difficult. Yes I do know before you ask as involved. When initial due diligence starts buyers step away because of too many red flags. We all can see them as so obvious it’s a failing business with clueless leadership. Next step must be a fire sale as FP need to exit quickly as causing reputation damage to their investors.

@9t66 Not ALL the Bristol workforce resulted in immediate redundancy then. Sounds like a pre-determined outcome and not actually genuine redundancies.

Is the Bristol warehouse and setup/ repair area closed down as well?

The Bristol based Hardware department, which managed infrastructure for many of our largest accounts including Sytner, has been entirely shut down. Customers were given a strict 30 day notice period before their contracts were terminated, resulting in the immediate redundancy of a large portion of the Bristol workforce.

This abrupt move is directly tied to a separate corporate strategy: Francisco Partners is currently in active negotiations to sell the company!

The closure was executed to clear liabilities and streamline the balance sheet ahead of the deal. Consequently, there is currently an intense, coordinated push within the senior ranks to rapidly close out remaining operations, finalize the books, and wrap up outstanding projects as quickly as possible to facilitate a swift sale.

I never saw the troll bashing posts so unable to comment, however it does seem a little quieter on this page of late.
Must have something to do with the "large" numbers of layoffs recently. Incidentally, not very much has been said about those people who have alledgely departed. Was it a small number as reported?

I've seen a couple of settlement agreements shared with various people around the business over the last couple of months. There doesn't seem to be any clause which is actionable to prevent people talking. Same as any restrictive covenant preventing you from working for a supplier or competitor. Any solicitor worth their professional status would overrule it and strike it out.

Why has there been very little news on those who have been made redundant? Software and hardware? If so many people were being let go, you would think more would have been said by those who have departed on the socials, Linkedin, etc. Even Keyloop's Glassdoor reviews are silent

This is not an advert or neither am I paid commission. Any of you looking for legal protection insurance, then many home/ car insurance policies will give you the option to add basic legal cover which includes employment disputes as a default amount on most policies. Expect to pay around £29.99 to add this.
Going for the advanced legal cover (if offered), can be purchased sometimes for as little as £9.99 extra, this will give you double the amount of legal cover. (£100,000)

Hoping they don't close Bristol as one member of staff practically lives there 13 hours a day, 250 days a year.

Served notice to all customers and shut up shop. Always a pivotal business unit to the Kerridge business strategy of a one stop shop and putting the customer first. Always highly profitable and hugely valued by customers. So many wonderful people worked within HW over many years. It’s sad end and just another death nail from the muppets that FP have deployed to drive this business in to the ground. Once again they don’t care about the customers and the staff because they are all about their bank balance and bullsh-t image. RIP Bristol HW :-(

It’s interesting how our customers, mainly in main land Europe are ramping up on legal advisors when it comes to digitalisation, security and GDPR. Wonder where that originates from? Maybe Keyloop need to invest more money in that area as well.

To refer to this post:
"I've been told by a reliable source that there is going to be a large number of layoffs in Software Support and Hardware, looks like they're replacing Software Support positions in India."

Have the redundancies concluded now? This page has gone fairly quiet of late.
