Thread regarding CenturyLink layoffs

Thank you centurylink

Layoffs off during a health epidemic and economic crisis. All while receiving 500 million per year since 2015 along side tax breaks and new stimulus incentives. Prior to covid19 outbreak the lay-off announcement was discussing and disrespectful to the employees that creat and maintain your revenue. Now it is simply a disgusting example of greed. I wish the best to the employees still employed and hope for the best to those of us searching for jobs during these terrifying times.

It's sad. Even the yes men who said we were full of c-ap and wore rise colored glasses see the writing on the wall. Those that used to sing the praises and buy everything they were selling are now forced to admit we are finished, and they too are now looking for jobs. Warms my heart to seen them frowning and broken, finally facing reality.

A member of upper management who was set up for failure and then forced out recently (with an incredible pkg though at his level) told a coworker that by end of July you won't even recognize this place and if you are offered a pkg, you better take it no matter how bad it is because after July, there will be no more packages.

Goal to outsource all of IT to CTL India has been in the works for years. The end game is near. After decreasing the original VSPP benefits they then offer you a special deal to get it partially back (70% of original, marketed as a slick 130% payout now) ... bottom line, many of the dirt bags in HR and management have been effective in permanently eliminating American jobs and replacing them with CtL India workers at burger flipper wages .... Shame on every manager who made this outsourcing happen ....

There is a very large scale voluntary package/Layoff going on right now company wide. I am told that next round will not be voluntary or with the package.

Company does not owe the employees sh–? That’s the most ignorant comment I have seen to date. Someone wishing the best to current employees and those in search of work and some classless excuses of a human post that c-ap. People of your caliber are the reason good hard working people loose there jobs.

Congratulations

"You got paid for all 20 years. The company does not owe you sh–. Bug off. "

You see its snide Little "Yes-Men" like yourself, that in the end, spell ruin for those trying to keep your beloved company actually functional? If it were left up to the likes of you, it would fold in a month—now get back to your metrics eh? Better not be on a company device......

Agree. They don’t seem to have a problem working my a– off for the next six weeks. Non hazardous work, of course. I wonder if COBRA pays for hospitalization.
