In Arizona, Governor Ducey waived the one week waiting period; https://azgovernor.gov/governor/news/2020/03/governor-ducey-expands-access-unemployment-insurance-and-extends-income-tax
You can apply as soon as your last day of work before your furlough; https://des.az.gov/services/employment/unemployment-individual/apply-ui-benefits
Honeywell doesn't want you to apply, and that's the main reason I did. I should get $240/wk from the state and $600/wk from the feds. Everyone in the USA should apply, the worst that can happen is your state rejects the claim. Hopefully, the feds will still pay you.

Well i am a self employed person. I do childcare out of my home. I havent been able to work though due to this covid19 mess. I filed unemployment and was still denied. So can anyone tell me what to do about this?
when will i know i get UE benefits?
I know some are afraid when Honeywell finds out they filed they will be singled out as a bad actor.... So, they are not going to file. Bully behavior at work folks. Stand up to bullies!
According to the article I read, the states would administer the extra $600 in federal payments along with the regular state unemployment payments. We shouldn't have to anything extra, just file for state unemployment.
Glad to hear about the waiver! Does anyone know how to get the federal unemployment?
Good for you.
You should be able to do that. Honeywell is going to have it's hand out from the government too.
