Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

I'm tired of having so many things to worry about

This is emotionally exhausting. Can we just go back to worrying about regular layoffs, not those caused by a worldwide pandemic?

OP, if this situation is so trying for you, clearly you have never lived an adult's life. This is just a pimple on a frog's rump. Thank your helicopter parents and school with a safe room for allowing you to become such a whiny weakling. G*d help us that such "fragile ones" are shaping the future.

Woe is me. What are you a child? This is what it's like being an adult, dealing with adult matters.

Leave the company and complain a lot.

Why compromise?.

The way to stop worrying is to hope for the best but plan for the worst.

Figure a pandemic layoff is in your future, and plan for it. That way if it hits, you will be ready.

Put all your mental effort into figuring out how to get a better job at your next company

Don't waste it on this dead end company

Should I worry lay-off where I will lose my house or be safe at home from a virus and will lose my house or just working with new proactive personal accountability??

Per the ‘move on’ post below. I still have friends wasting their time there that I care about. I’m trying to get them out and save them. Why would I lie about anything? I care because I fell for it during those 15 years. Wasted a good chunk of my career. I hope some others don’t do the same. Anyway, I’m out from that sh–h0le and it was the best decision I ever made. I hope others catch on and get out. It’s all gonna catch up to Honeywell some day and I’ll be smiling from afar. But have fun being an underpaid, under appreciated robot(unless you’re an executive getting taken care of). Don’t forget to tell your family that you could’ve done better, but you were a coward. Honeywell is a disgusting place run by disgusting people. Once you realize it and get some courage, you’ll run too. You don’t see it while you’re there drinking the kool-aid, but the truth is sometimes hard to swallow. But hey, good luck to you if you think I’m a ‘liar’.

If someone wasted 15 years at Honeywell why do you waste time reading about Honeywell now? Move on or stop lying

Get used to it. This is the new normal for the foreseeable future. Not sure I understand what you mean by regular layoffs vs pandemic layoffs. It's simple, if a business isn't bringing in enough revenue or cash to justify the costs for providing the product or service, they have to reduce debt. This is regardless of whether it was due to poor company sales or the pandemic. Payroll is typically the costliest for any company, and furloughs or layoffs are always a business consideration. Be glad our company is at least part of the covid19 solution with our masks.

I wasted 15 years at Honeywell. That is the only way they operate. Leave as soon as you can. It is MUCH better on the outside. Leave or don’t complain. It’s not gonna change.

Is that too much to ask for?
