Thread regarding Weight Watchers International Inc. layoffs

Now what?

I’m am devastated!

This was a job that I worked from home as a 24/7 chat coach and in the studio as a guide.

I was also a coach although not active. I’ve been with the company 6 years.

This money kept myself my husband and 2 kids (2 1/2 and under 1year old ) afloat!?

Now what?

I’m a stay at home mom and this worked perfectly! So unprofessional and not based off seniority at all! Fired in a 3 min mass phone call with many others !? Not ok!

Don’t worry though you are free for the rest of your life with WW.

Worked for 20 years and was both hurt and angry at how WW handled lay-offs. A 3 minute call, muted, read a 3 minute script written by corporate telling us that as of May 14 we were longer employed by WW. Pretty tactless. Big deal, free WW for Life, already a free member. No loyalty to long time employees. Kept people who should have been let go and got rid of good employees.

Classless way to let loyal employees go. Told we could not talk - to just listen - that effective immediately you no longer work for us. No rhyme or reason as to who was selected.
