Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

Farmers v SF

Friend left SF for Farmers. She Says managers and CEO super supportive and thank employees a lot. How sad is that that Farmers, treats employees better than SF. Shameful. Take your Sf training knowledge and experience to Farmers..Good news is that they pay about the same.

Just go to the top of the page, click “Farmers Insurance” instead of State Farm. Same conversations. It’s an industry thing. No, actually, it’s a whole economy thing.

Just a heads up...when my supervisor wasn't mean enough in making us do mindless nitpicky busy metrics work...and just focused on what really needed to be done with customers and actually getting stuff done,...they got quietly demoted.

@mvl I wish you were my Supervisor. Sounds like you have integrity and so do I. I will not stoop so low as to make it my only goal as a claim handler to meet unreasonable metrics. The ones who fish around and refuse to do things except the things that make their metrics look good are always treated like the Kings and Queens who get the best ratings, the best opportunities, and the most recognition. If you don’t play that game, SMs and TMs are going to wear you out until you do or leave.

I'm a 30 year supervisor and I refuse to bully my people for company made up metrics.

New laws allow you to sue both the company and the supervisor personally for bullying. Company mislead supervisors by saying they will pay to defend but it is the supervisor that has to pay....oops, the Nazis were just doing their job too...sorry that's not a defense.

That's laughable and accurate. My stupid visor told me my ratio of calls to tasks was bad. Told her there is no relationship between calls and processing and if they are using that as a measure,I would notify state labor board. What an idiiiiiiiot.

Quality & Quantity have an inverse relationship. The higher the quantity of work, the lower the quality. That's an Economic law. Anyone who thinks employees can work work at 100%, 100% of the time is a mooorooon. Problem with accountants is they can count the numbers but they don't know what it means. So keeping using flawed metrics...moorooons
