Thread regarding Hertz layoffs

12,000 out of 16,000 furloughed employees being moved to permanent job cuts

There was just an article the other day from market watch with a quote from Kathy saying since there is no end in sight for the decline of business, out of the 16,000 that were furloughed on March 30th, 12,000 of them are getting a permanent job cut. Why has there been no official word on this?

What happens to laid off employee severance pay if Hertz files bankruptcy.

Funny that the person who says stop bashing Kathy also posts as anonymous.

Stop bashing Kathy! She's turned the company in the right direction with 11 months of positive revenue just before the virius. Funny how everyone is bold to talk here but no one says anything to the extent of these negative comments on the Hertz Alumi page.

I screenshot that same article and sent it to my manager. He claimed the layoffs were from March-April. I don't believe it. I think we are just lining up to get our pink slips.

You must have worked in Minneapolis or Seattle. So filthy.

Reading the article it is unclear if this is an additional 12,000, or that it includes the already reported 10,000+ from April. I assume the latter but with as muddy as Hertz communication is, who knows?

Stock at $2.40 this morning. Down another 11%. Yeah it's Kathy's fault! Terrible planning, and no idea how to fix the decline.

Stop bashing Kathy!!!!!

She has done a great job during her tenure with Hertz. I worked at Estero and was let go but I don't blame her. She did alot for the company. I am just looking to God for the answers, and have faith I will be called back soon

Why? Because she doesn't care about those 12,000 employees. She only cares about protecting the inner circle of flunky millionaires that are bleeding the company thru their high salaries and stock options. Hertz is a broken company with a cess pool culture that has run its course. The name will go on, but it will nothing like it is today in 1 year. It's over! Sharks are circling the rubber life boats.

She said it on the investor call, so I’d say that’s pretty official. She’s not going to send out an email saying ‘hey guys, we laid off 12,000 of your coworkers!’
