Thread regarding Hertz layoffs

Senior Leadership are stuffing their pockets with $$ as the Titanic sinks!

So disgusting to see Kathy destroying this 100+ year old brand.

She did nothing but badmouth the previous regime, and then had such little business sense that she never had a cohesive plan to keep this overextended sh#tty operation running during a recession. I worked in the Central Division and witnessed the regime change there when they brought in the long winded, tiny hands, hipster beard wearing RVP to play his "smoke and mirrors" show with his little "mini-me" troll ZVP that was trying real hard to appear tall, handsome, and sophisticated, but in reality was in the closet and just "turning tricks for the Central Division" to keep the BS P&L ratings up for the Paul and Kathy comedy hour.

Such a bad reality show!! You couldn't produce something this pathetic for television.

If you do random math, based on the 15.9% yearly raise she got last year, and subtract 10% from her base salary only. Kathy ends up with approximately $10.45 million this year! Up from last year. This may not be completely accurate but an estimate. Unreal.

Marinello was paid $9.14m in 2019 up 15.9% from 2018. She’s offered to take a 10% reduction in 2020 which is 5% over 2018.

Employees are graded 1-4 majority capped capped at a 2 so overall 2 years lucky to get 4%?? So she’s still better than majority, also she’s only taking 10% on her base WILD.

Europe apparently got zero bonus last year while the CEO raked it in.

I wonder what deal she’s cut to see this out??

Questions have to be answered..

We lost all our true leaders when Kathy came in. If you look at the names of the senior team that left during her tenure they were the great leaders who had a passion for Hertz and its employees They were not yes men/woman thus they moved onto bigger things. These were the people we trusted and would walk on fire for. Replacing them were the puppets. The people who thought it was their strong qualifications got them the job. Everyone knew they were there to say yes for Kathy. Our region was a hot mess. Our ZVP was not competent. She would just visit play nice say all the right things then get her GM's to do her dirty work. Its getting ugly now.

What heavy workload? Didn’t they hire 3 different consultants to deal with all this?

What message does it send when the company is teetering on the edge of bankruptcy and must come up with a cohesive plan to show creditors that it's conserving capital in every way possible, yet at the same time restore full salary to its executives (minus Kathy's "generous" 10%, deduction, of course)? Sounds as though they know the ship is going down and they're going to get out of there with every last cent they can, and then grab all the lifeboats and leave all the crew members to drown. Remember when Mark cooked the books and got out of Dodge with a multimillion-dollar golden parachute, and then they took away the employees' pension to pay for it? Getting laid off is obviously very upsetting, but in the long run you'll realize how refreshing it is to not have to work for such a morally, ethically, and disgustingly corrupt and inept company.
