Hmmm seems like Zoom is just playing O to get better pricing leverage with Amazon as a second source.

To the clown that said why spin it as a negative. Tell you why. This company no longer promotes or gives even cost of living raises. That fake beard wearing boss just keeps making bank. And why did zoom pick us???? Cause we cut their price 90% compared to closest competitors. Do your homework before you post here. We will lose on the deal. Of course AWS let us have it. They’re in business to MAKE MONEY not give free sh– away.

It's always a great feeling when there are a few "anonymous" attendees in every zoom meeting.

Passwords are required now for Zoom. Their security hole was plugged a few weeks ago.

it is ok for schools to pay 0. It is not ok for Customers who may share sensitive personal information.
It is clearly non sense and against any security policy. oracle support is just a joke in term of security.

"Unbreakable" - remember that. Now Zoom the malware on top of it. Gawd, can you wait for the marketing hype to ooze out of the customer visitor center in Bld 500....

Zoom is another local guy to Oracle. COVID has been a boom for Zoom in schools, at home, but not in finance, healthcare anything that requires PI. May LE wants to start a more personal business so you can control your own supply chain from your Tesla. NOT.

If Zoom thinks they will improve their image by working with Oracle, they need to do a little marketing research. Adding the Oracle brand to their brand will not be a plus.

Zoom has security issues. It's been getting so much bad press I know a large company that is rushing to REMOVE it from their offerings. Will it help to add Zoom's image problems to Oracle's image problems? Probably not. Figures the two would be trying to get together, desperation on both sides.

OOPS!

Zoom walks back claims it has 300 million daily active users. It has 300 million daily participants.

The difference between daily active users and participants is that meeting participants can be counted more than once. If you have five Zoom meetings in a day then you’re counted five times.

Zoom declined to provide an updated daily active user count.

Zoom shares dropped as much as 8.7% on Thursday after the company walked back its claim.

@1sdt+14HubqFQ If you made a bad bet on ORCL stock, the smartest thing to do is cut your losses.

LE is a POS trumper. He is completely in the Trump bubble, and of course Trump loves him because LE has billions. LE doesn’t give a c r a p about his employees, unless they are high level and putting money in his pocket. Everyone else is a useless appendage just ripe for lopping off.

Skype is going to be decommissioned. Also Zoom is now used by oracle support for web conferences purpose. But zoom is so insecure that that most of the banks and insurances in EMEA that are oracle customers don't allow the use of zoom.

If you're an Oracle employee, why would you come here and try to spin this as a negative? Box up your things and get out!
If you're not an Oracle employee, can't you find something better to do than hang out here? Get a life!

Oracle is the cloud provider who wouldn't be seen by Zoom as a threat to their business.

Also doesn't LE own shares in Zoom?

  • bqFQ are most of Oracle Cloud customers now paying customers.

Larry is more than just a renewed pretty face. Maybe he can acquire Zoom.

Is this a real win given that most of Zoom's growth is from non-paying consumers rather than paying businesses?

Alos, all of them (MSFT, GOOG and AMZN) have competing products.

True, but Zoom seems to be the popular kid these days. Does anyone still use Skype?
