Got a call once from a VP asking me to join. I told him it was against my principles, and never got bothered again. Never joined, but never felt retaliation for it either, like others have reported.

I never started when I got band 4. They only asked a few times and now they leave me alone. I didn't get threats or high pressure.

Canceled my HIPAC many years ago when they weren’t giving raises, reducing MIPs....
I got a call and told them I needed that extra cash to fill in the void. Haha
one reason is that they pressure people with threat of not advancing if they don't.
