I work in position that does not allow me to work from home. I work with dozens of other employees. We share tooling and equipment, use the same bathrooms, walk through the same turnstile, touch the same keyboards. I have seen no changes or attempts to improve cleanliness other than some e-mails telling us to clean hands more often and not touch our face. My concern is my parents are in their late 70's and I help take care of them. I feel like I'm putting them at risk by continuing to go to work. Everything is shutting down and it feels like things are getting serious but here the only concern is getting out the shipments for the month. Am I overreacting?

I believe...we all know who started this thread! The QUEEN BEE as we all know it, Now is your chance to get rid of it! How can someone so terrible, last at a company for soooo long? What is wrong with the management?

I work on one of the Aero factory floors. Have been on my job 40+ years, even before we were HW. They keep putting out emails about our health and safety being their top priority. B.S. We are at huge risk at this time, they tell us we have to be there to "serve our customers". Are our customers going to send money to my family every week when I contract Coronavirus and die in my mid 60s? Today I'm told they're rescinding my 2.5% raise I got just last week. 2.5% is the biggest raise I've EVER gotten, normally 2.1%. All I ever hear is "be glad u still have a job". Maybe HW should be glad they have us for a change....

Where as much PPE as possible, wash her hands before you leave, use wipes or something the handle doors until you get to your vehicle. Wash your hands as soon and you get home again. It needs a mucus membrane to get into your body and you need to just make sure things ae as clean as possible and don't cough into your hands and touch your eyes, nose or mouth. You are definitely not overreacting.

@OP+142skgyB I feel ya shift worker here at one the Honeywell sites hah wont say which one as sure trolls be on here watching. But we run 24/7 365days a years who knows if there will be a shutdown day by day we go. Good luck to all.

Hon should provide an N95 and gloves to people it is asking to come in to work in contact with other employees. They can afford $10 a mask per employee since the employee is risking his family’s health to keep them in business.

No, you’re not overreacting.
Get disposable gloves at a minimum.
Maintain personal hygiene ahead of speed at work. Things will just take a little longer since you’ll be minding your cleanliness.
If the location is in an area with many cases then I would be outta there.
Honeywell should do the obvious that many companies are, namely cleaning surfaces often, etc etc but that wouldn't change what the 72 year old would want from you. Since I am still going out, carefully, your interaction with me doesn't increase my risk, much, if you wash your hands after you leave Honeywell before you see us. Frankly, you should do that before you see us regardless of where you have been lately. Unless you know that a person has tested positive in your workplace, the risk situation isn't too much more than anyone's.
HON stock price is down over 22% today. Does that translate to working 22% faster and 22% more product out the door in addition to our metrics?
HSE Metric should be All Green and improving to Zero incidents (less severed limbs). Do NOT speak up at a Tier Meeting or make eye contact with Tyrannical Supervisors and Managers who only report great numbers or you will be PIPed.
Sounds like Ottawa site... I would discuss your worries with HR leadership. Voice is important here I think
