Many are being let go, don’t forget first and foremost no one wants to lose their job. We are not losers we are working in an ever changing world. Jobs are going to keep leaving the US, because we need to make more due to the cost of living in the US. Anthem makes my heart break, hoping everyone makes it out okay. Healthcare companies should stay where the patients and providers are located. This will ultimately hurt all of us the economy the sick the people that need a good dependable support system to their insurance plan. Sometimes GREED gets in the way and can’t see the forest from the trees.

Agree, no it is not, no it is not, no it is not. Definitely not the answer. Finding a new job at a company that appreciates your hard work is the answer. Side note, it has been entertaining to view the similar situation occurring at UHC (we are not alone), so thank you to the UHC visitor!
No it's not. No it's not. No it's not.
There's a ton that's completely wrong with what's going on in this company and the way that they are treating their employees. However, unions aren't the answer. If you go down that road there will be even fewer US based jobs left.
Unionizing is the way. Unionizing is the way. Unionizing is the way.
I’ve had many jobs because that’s how the industry rolled. Not one company ever, EVER gave a $@&%!! about it's employees. Even favorites. American companies don’t want to make you loyal. You are replaceable with younger and cheaper labor. Why buy out a close to retiring person when you can say position eliminated due to cuts. The US working culture is only beneficial to the 1%. I hope my kids never, ever get a desk job at corporate usa!
Regarding the Medicaid data going offshore.
The loop hole is AWS (cloud storage).
If the data is kept onshore, the State contracts approved.
I think there may be a few holdouts like KY and WV (! WV? who knew? )
We all know this greed, born from manipulation and lies.
Take heart brothers and sisters.
(Spoiler alert - Love wins in the end.)
@mqou+13sovzla Welcome friend from United HC.
Seems our stories are too similar for coincidence but, we have a site in Israel now & you have Ireland? Interesting dynamics.
Hoping you dodge the bullet and wish you good luck today.
Keep your head low.
Hi United Healthcare, our président came from United.
Sorry to creep on your thread. From united healthcare. Offshoring lots and lots of jobs. Layoffs occurring all year. Next one is predicted to be tomorrow. Offshore accessing prohibited medicaid contract data, verified it happens on my team everyday. We r being replaced by india and Philippines. Oh and Ireland. Just had to see how it was at another big company. It isn't offshores fault, they are humans who need jobs, I am not even disappointed in them lower admin costs by hiring at 1/2 the cost. It just s—s is all. Good luck all of you!
Here's a perspective sure to offend offshore folks.
It's political and both sides agreed. They chose your culture because India's workforce is complaisant and easily manipulated. Herd mentality is easier to manage.
Anthem is exploiting you. You are underpaid, under-valued and overworked. Welcome to America.
They want robots and if you're from India, that's you. I don't want to hurt you. I'm trying to wake you up to reality. Corporate America (Anthem specifically) see's workers from India as objects to be used and thrown away.
This is cruel and no one, absolutely no one, deserves to be treated like an object.
So to the person who thinks they are smarter, faster, stronger because you're from India...
Sorry but no. You are a victim of Corporate narcissism.
Robotics will replace you too, but not until "leadership" chews you up and spits you out.
Just like us.
And you'll be too exhausted to see it coming.
Just like us.
As mentioned in other posts. Selling offshore labor is industry within industries. Money changing hands. Corruption. Shameless.
Oh please. offshore has access to prod phi for accounts that prohibit it. Fact that can be proven in 5 min.
Most Medicaid states allow work to be moved offshore - the insurer is required to file and receive approval from the regulatory body first. For those states that prohibit it, the work is retained onshore.
If you’re going to put info out on the web, ensure it’s correct before posting.
https://townhall.com/columnists/michellemalkin/2020/02/26/there-is-no-american-worker-shortage-n25619—Michelle Malkin notes Anthem as one of the companies laying off workers here and moving the work overseas
Actually, offshoring the Medicaid business is not allowed per the majority of the state contracts, though Anthem is trying to find loopholes in the contracts and keeps pushing more and more offshore. They are going to end up with a lawsuit. It’s just a matter of time.
I don't have time to improve my skills, wasting hours of my life I can never get back trying to teach you how to do things.
While you supposedly have IT degree, yet don't understand basic concept of inner vs left join.
Below. You are naive. To say at least.
BIG loser...Becoz of people like you it is going to offshore.Rather think like how can i improve my skill and stay in market.
Classy ended time ago. Now it’s a full blown sell out to India operation and profiteers are adamant. it’s now industry on its own. infesting and taking over all areas. HR execs graduates from Tata. There is no hope. Us is being sold out.
Calling people losers?
Wow, very classy.
Much earlier than 2025, perhaps closer to 2023. Survival of the fittest always holds true in the economic world and Anthem is not the fittest or even any close to it.
Anthem is failing financially. It will be out of business, by 2025.
This entire thread was an insult to human intelligence and mankind. I'm surprised the administrator even allowed it. To me the poster was looking for a confrontation .poor judgement.. 'Dont take the bait'
Really can’t blame all the negativity towards Anthem right now specially from long time associates like myself who feels no love from this company. I know my days here are numbered and it makes me sad coz I was hoping I can retire from Anthem and not be forced out like some useless piece of object. Thanks a lot Anthem ...
Throwing insults towards individuals or groups is not allowed either.
There are A LOT of comments that have been deleted from this thread. Curious why? No inappropriate language or anything that violated rules. Interesting....
“the company threatens our livelihood”. Onshore. Yes. Hence need to get organized. No? Or do you want just to roll over? With “employed at-will” mantra in mind? They will continue to walk all over then.
exactly! the company threatens our livelihood and we take it out on each other out of fear
don't hate the player, hate the game!
Why all the hate in this thread? Onshore or offshore, there are good and bad apples in any batch. But I will say that Most people that work here have put in much work and dedication. I’ve seen it on both sides and the bottom line is no one wants to lose their job.
The silver lining is if you do lose it, there is another opportunity waiting for you. Onshore, if you lose it, the market is good out there. Anthem isn’t the end all/be all. Offshore, I guess per the below you can move on to the next company . We can all win. Don’t let a company do this to you and make you nasty!
Can’t we all just get along???!!! :)
No matter what you do. We are here to stay and dismiss most of you.
Unionize.
Exactly. You had it good. Now is time to share. You can cap all you want. You cannot change anything. No matter what you do. So just accept it. Losers. You lost.
It’s not illegal, nor is it a secret or anything new. Welcome to the global economy.
1st step:
Stop writing in all caps...
