I think they know more than they let on, but they're probably just a little less in the dark as the working grunts are.

Nope! They have meetings, you ask what meeting was about, he says nothing serious. Yea right it’s always serious. Find out from other people what the meetings are about and they are never good. Thanks for keeping us in the loop and great communication!

No. In Corp, managers essentially perform one task-self preservation which includes saying yes to all mgmt directives even when business damaging.

Honestly, I was badged over to HCL and find stuff out before any non badged employee at my core, right now I am only concerned about me, the days of caring are long gone

Doesn’t really matter. No middle managers have any authority to do anything on their own. Even at the VP (real VP) level. Only a handful with decision making power.

To a degree, I trust my manager as he does seem to try to do his best for the team and the work we do; but, I also know he has had to make compromises as he needs to hold on to his job to support his family, just like we all do. As for his boss, heck no.

Xerox has turned into the Hunger Games. Even, relatively decent people have turned to rancid, self-serving douche-bags. The people you can trust are few and far between. I have been shocked to see some of the behavior at the X... but I do understand the pressure everyone is under.

That’s a tough one to answer. Mostly, yes, but if they have NDAs or things they can’t tell employees, well it makes it harder to answer that question. So generally, yes, but further up the ladder? No. Xerox has turned otherwise decent people into secret keepers and pitted former friends against each other simply by the policies enacted. The HCL mess alone has turned a lot of the people at our core against the rebadged HCL people, albeit indirectly.

Not current manager. He was brought in last summer along with a few others - all of which were at least a pay level or two higher than those they replaced. Let go most of the old management who we all trusted.

Our manager was open, respected and knowledgeable..These past two years he spends most of his time behind closed doors.
Communication has gone to zero.

Yes, because even VP's don't know what's coming anymore. We lost 3 people on our team in the most recent purge last month and the VP had no idea who would be impacted until the day before.
