Xerox to provide IT services

On Facebook, I saw that Xerox is now providing IT services to small companies. How does that work, Xerox' IT services have been mostly outsourced to WIPRO, etc. Am I missing something?

GISX Core here and It’s new: we now have a new “Devision” that specializes
In offering managed IT support (just hired a technical sales person for it) and will be selling HP laptops, printers, servers and the back end support contracts to go with them. Guess this is how we become a tech powerhouse. (Sarcasm Incase anyone misses that)

I guarantee these services will be outsourced.

I don't get it, since we outsourced most of our IT support many many years ago. Are we an HCL and wipro reseller now?

We are one of the original cores that offered IT managed services. What I don't understand is who is going to support these newly-acquired "Xerox" managed IT customers?

Most of our competitors, especially smaller dealers, are offering managed IT services. This will be good for the XBS call center representatives. Hopefully, they will be trained to help in this area. I don't see this "new" service being outsourced. Most IT outsourcing was done to manage Xerox' internal IT issues.

Some XBS/GIS cores had offered IT service to customers. Xerox wants to expand that. Too bad they fired most of the analysts that could fill that role.

Wipro is for Xerox(non GIS/XBS) backend service. They are useless
