No major layoffs this past week. Total since 6/1-2016 remains at 26,276.

@rmrf+13kF7iES, OP said "no MAJOR layoffs," not no layoffs at all.
8 or 9 people were let go (that we know of), which is hardly characterized as major.
I think the total is very low for what is actually going on. There have been layoffs posted here over the last few weeks, But OP's posts were saying no layoffs.
Our team in the Orlando office had 8 people get laid off about two days ago without explanation. Managment has not said anything other than changes are coming. Not knowing if you are going to be laid of is hard if you have private school, daycare and other financial obliations, not to meniton your friends become your competion once you are laid off.

American laid off employees are being replaced with cheaper work visa workers brought over here in America.
The f— you guys talking about?? Over 100+ folks laid off in the North America Apps division headed by Chris Donato. Mainly ASM's, Solution Engineers, Architects and other roles.. Being replaced by cheaper BDC's and freshers from class of's from tier 2 colleges. I was one of the affected... Jan 31st was my last day working. Was given a 2 week notice & 2 weeks severance. Mind f—ed right now.
