Thread regarding AIG (American Intl Group Inc.) layoffs

I love the smell of rifs in the morning

things have gone silent in my department. no communication, not writing business, no one really cares anymore, and a pending sti pay week in upon us. please let this be my week to get the rif package. i have been waiting so long for that random hr invite in outlook to "catch up".

when/if I get the call I will be so happy that i will go out of my way to thank the poor hr minion who thinks they are breaking bad news. oh how i long to be rifed!

Nah, not a waste. Moving on to a better role and better company. There are good jobs out there if you look. This company has stage 4 cancer.

This isn't sad, it is quite funny. I look at AIG like that really hot, but really stupid girl/guy that you dated in college. You knew that there was no future, but it was easy, you weren't too emotionally involved and at the end of the day got a nice piece for very little effort.

You know this place isn't sustainable, BD told you that you are lucky if you get 3 years. You really think PZ plans to retire here? No, he plans to date the hot girl/guy that's easy and ride the wave until it crashes.

Party on AIG, party on! And if you pay me to leave when we break up, its a win win!

Agree with Post ID: @OP+13VMTR72. I think many are thinking the way you do. It's a coming sooner or later. I say lets get out while the getting is good
