Thread regarding Boeing Co. layoffs

Boeing Employee Help Line

Yo. Good people of Boeing: when you fight here- in the open- when you air our company's dirty laundry here- out in the open- when you spread stories about all the problems you encounter at work- you literally make US ALL look worse. We don't need to read about your gripes or fears; we all have our own. There is really only 1 site you need to watch- WA WARN notices. There you will be notified of impending, announced lay-offs. Anybody with good sense and real numbers would not post here, and I am really tired of hearing about how terrible Boeing is. We build aircraft. Let's try to -at least- be quiet if there is no layoff news to share. The public is concerned about us; this web site shows why.

Do we have a Help Line for poisoning and does it work

Boeing has poisoned the well of prosperity

https://www.manufacturing.net/labor/news/21112084/spirit-aerosystems-layoffs-are-spreading

Jan 23rd, 2020

Spirit AeroSystems Layoffs are Spreading
Layoffs at Spirit AeroSystems spread Thursday to the airplane parts-maker's
plants in Oklahoma amid the widening fallout in its home state of Kansas
caused by the halt in production of the troubled Boeing 737 MAX.

Spirit AeroSystems is the largest employer in Wichita,
which calls itself as the "Air Capital of the World" due to a heavy concentration
of aerospace manufacturers. More than 40 aerospace companies,
most of them in and around Wichita, provide parts and services for the
production of the 737 MAX.

Can They All Sue Boeing?

HR personal have the luxury of being isolated from the petty abuses of the
Management staff at large. After years in the position they become apathetic to
the complaints of the employees, because they are so removed from the
employees.
The union management is fat and happy they could care less.
Scores of Boeing management have a god complex, forming a cult environment.
Then there’s HR, removed, aloof and isolated from the employees.

Each in their Bubble, as they stare through the glass, safe warm and comfortable
They are oblivious to the anguish of others as the Air is Pulled from the Room.
As the employees suffocate, management; union management and HR
Look out and say just breath

On behalf of all the Boeing employees;
For all of those murdered by Boeing’s Greed and Apathy

  • . Taste this sentiment

To the last, I grapple with thee; From Hell's heart, I stab at thee;
For hate's sake, I spit my last breath at thee.

Save a nickel save a dime got to make Takt Time.
Doesn’t matter what the people say, No it doesn’t matter what they know.
Save a nickel save a dime got to make Takt Time.
Managers say the plane is done here, No more Takt Time, Time to Go.
Doesn’t matter what the people say, No it doesn’t matter what they know.
Push that plane down the line the Managers Say; No we’re not done we Cry.
Doesn’t matter what the people say, No it doesn’t matter what they know.
Wires un-done pipes Unplumbed doesn’t matter what the people say.
Push that plane down the Line, Got to make Takt Time, The Managers Say.

The next station will Get er Done they say, made our Takt Time the Manager Say
Wires un-done pipes Unplumbed doesn’t matter what the people say.
A bonus for that Manager Management says Wires un-done pipes Unplumbed.
Doesn’t matter what the people say, No it doesn’t matter what they know.
The Build Plan is a nice suggestion, But…
The Spread Sheet and the Takt Time is all what I need the Manager Say.
Push that plane down the Line, Got to make Takt Time, The Managers Say.

Ed is Gone, Garry Too,
Who needs a line manager who knows what’s what?
Who needs a configuration manager who knows what’s what?
I have my Spread Sheet; I made my Takt Time; I’ve earned My MBA
My Managers Say.
Push that plane down the Line Wires un-done pipes Unplumbed.
Doesn’t matter who knows what’s what, my Spread sheet just saved the day
The Managers Say.

We Build them Fast we Build them Quick,
Wires un-done pipes Unplumbed doesn’t matter what the people say.
Now management, they see them cratered into a smoldering Pit.
Heaped dead burnt bodies all about, what was once a great plane
The Engineer’s are to blame the Boeing Board of Miscreants Exclaimed.
Doesn’t matter what the people say, No it doesn’t matter what they know.
Now Everybody just shut up and stay low, we got this the management explains.
Save a nickel save a dime got to make Takt Time.
I have my Spread Sheet; I made my Takt Time; I’ve earned My MBA,
My Managers Say.

Management has the Gall to ask we don’t understand the disgust you have in us
Like the child who murders their parents then begs the court for mercy
Because they are orphaned.

Move over "Spruce Goose" it's the new and improved 737 Maximus!!!!!!Ahhhhhh in the highest.....With twice the MCAS and half of the customer base....Night night Seattle...

What the other posts have stated is true management does care nor have they ever. As long as they get there tack times and kiss the next up the chains butt and attend another useless meeting, with zero follow up or accountability for anything nothing there will change!

If don't think layoffs are still not possible you clearly need more Koolaid...Good luck

People post because the level of corruption internal is an all time high. We here all hope that this can change and that sensible and humble people will begin to run this company not to the ground but to success.

You clearly want to stick your head in the sand. Just have a grand ole time buddy be one of the people that's running this company into the ground by letting them shut you up.

so, people turn around and start posting on twitter reddit and thelayoff

Boeing once "represented the pinnacle of engineering," but its relentless focus on
safety gave way to "obsessing over the bottom line." Said Chesley "Sully"
Sullenberger, the heroic pilot who landed a plane on the Hudson River,
"We've seen this movie before, in places like Enron."

That's right, said Michael Hiltzik at the Los Angeles Times, and just like those
Other companies you need to lay the blame at the feet of the board of directors.

The root of this crisis can be traced back to 2011. "Under explicit pressure from
the board" To Find A Cheap Way To Build A New Plane,
then-CEO James McNerney decided to modify the aging 737 design instead of
Designing a new aircraft from the ground up.
At least seven of Boeing's 13 current board members were there in 2011
Including David Calhoun, the new CEO.

This is a board full of celebrities, such as former South Carolina governor
and U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley. Yet It Has No ONE With Any Aerospace
Engineering Experience, since the departure of Dennis Muilenburg.
Boeing says it will require "safety-related experience as one of the criteria"
for choosing future directors. That invites the question: "Why Only Now?"

It’s not the Employees
It’s the Social Club for the Rich the Popular the Inept and Incompetent.
It’s the Boeing Board of Miscreants

To the OP, I can see your post got voted down heavily. This one will to. Not because it's not true, but because they don't like the message or looking in the mirror.

They want to piss and moan and deride Boeing, but they still work there and are not even considering leaving. Its really an oxymoron. They seem proud of what they do, but not the company they do it for. You have to have both.
