Try "Follow" as well, it's pretty good!
I just use the "active" button to see what's been updated recently. That works pretty well. Most people don't continue to post on old threads, they add new ones instead.
I would like to see a sort by up and down votes. That would be interesting. And it would be good to have some kind of search feature. I find myself wanting to find "that thread where someone said something like this".
Works fine for me, there are some old threads that I am monitoring and I had them bookmarked. Now I just watch that 'updated' indicator
