Thread regarding Molina Healthcare Inc. layoffs

More proof our surveys were not even looked at

My co workers and I are over here laughing at this less than mediocre, empty, mission statement. None of it entails putting members 1st or employees for that matter. Your thoughts?

Our Mission:

We improve the health and lives of our members by delivering high-quality health care.

Our Vision:

We will distinguish ourselves as the low cost, most effective and reliable health plan delivering government-sponsored health care.

Our Values:

  • Integrity always
  • Absolute accountability
  • Supportive teamwork
  • Honest and open communication
  • Member and community focused

This week, every one of our health plans and business units will sponsor activities to mark this special occasion. Over the coming months, throughout 2020 and, indeed, for years to come we will highlight, celebrate, and live out these words through organized communications. But more importantly, we will bring them to life through our daily efforts as colleagues with shared commitment and passion.

I am proud to be your teammate as we continue together on this great and exciting journey. Each one of us encounters inevitable and often unpredictable challenges in our work—I do in my role, and you do in yours. Let’s continue to meet and surmount these challenges together. And, as we do, let’s always bear in mind who we are as an organization, the noble cause that inspires us, and how we will work together displaying the values that we have just agreed are important to all of us.

Surveys look great in Ohio. We had almost a 100% participation rate . Folks there are generally happy, lots of good work. Remember, my door is always open if you want to discuss further, just no back door.

Be careful with those surveys. No matter what they tell you, they can tell your results. We found that out for real in Ohio. I won’t get into details, and you can chose to believe me or not, but yes, they do know who said what. So, if you don’t give a cr*p, then cool. You do you. But if you DO, and you went all in on a survey, I would be on my best behavior if I were you.

We had a 99.8% positive review on our surveys. I received 2 bad surveys out of 20,000 - but thats a given. For the most part most folks are really happy to be a part of this great company.

I was honest on my survey. I asked my manager when we would review them. She raised her voice at me and said “look- we all have challenges and we need to work together as team. We have a large amount of work and not a lot of time to sit around and look at peoples gripes. The team has a job and they need to start doing it”. So I guess that is the review process for our team. The other thing about my team is that I’m one of a few honestly who is Not family or a close friend.

I was EXTREMELY honest on the survey as well. Management said we would discuss results but haven't. And for the person telling those of us to leave if we're unhappy...this forum gives us the opportunity to gripe about what we are unhappy about and have you ever heard of freedom of speech? If you don't want to hear our opinions, then maybe don't share yours and STHU!!

So sad what has happened to a great firm. The prior tread on the legal department and events are factual. While a straight forward tale, it is one played out at many firms as senior staff protects their own revenue streams. By now many have determined that whatever flaws some felt the Molina family had - the current self proclaimed management is far worst. However one difference is that the current management built nothing, the Molinas built it all and shared the successes with the staff.

Has anybody really analyzed the level of nepotism that still occurs at this company? I think it may still be as bad if not worse than when our fallen brothers were at the helm. Unbelievable!

Why don’t you people that are so miserable leave the company already. You’re going to mock any and everything these people say or do. Move on to another company or shut the hell up!!!

Surveys are done at just about every organization these days. I bet if you ask any of these folks that work at other health plans- what they think about their surveys- they’ll say the same thing...it’s a waste of time, it’s fixed, blah...blah...blah..

So please, trust the surveys and trust your trusted execs. And trust the great org that is Molina Healthcare. We got your back!
