Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Pay us when they feel like it??

A lot of employees FOR THE BETTER OF HONEYWELL gave up their 4 day holiday to make sure they got the revenue they needed, even working ON Thanksgiving. Now that the work has been done, they tell us they “inadvertently “ left out of the email that we won’t be paid til the 20th for it. Is that legal?! We obviously wouldn’t have given up our holidays if we didn’t need the money and now we have to wait til the 20th?! Bunch of lying snakes!

everyone knows that HR and GBE leaders read these posts and laugh at your expense. It's sad people are treated so shabbily. They even have contests to see who can get the most negative comments..... It fuels them.

Ha ha. Complain away. HoneyHell hates having complaints filed against it for legitimate reasons. I hear the USG DCMA/DCAA employees who used to be in the 1207 building continuously filed complaints about the restrooms, elevators, etc. with the City of Tempe before getting kicked to the 1201. All legit.

Only time I worked Thanksgiving was when I worked for Honeyhell! I make sure that never happens again and left Honeyhell! Boy! Did I enjoy my Thanksgiving. Love the holidays again :) I've seen lot of people work Thanksgiving and Black Friday when I was there and they were so unhappy with their lives. People don't work for this company at all, your lives will be horrible!

You gave up your holiday voluntarily....you will be paid for it...I don’t see the issue.... most of us who have a life enjoyed the 4 day weekend!

WHY do something "For the better of honeyhell" when they don't do anything for you. The work would have been there Monday when you returned. Everybody needs time away from this place.

Seriously?
They will get paid. It will just be the next pay cycle.
Go ahead. Report that.

@1mvf - yes, they should be paid. It is mandatory to record and approve the time properly in the timekeeping system. "Alleged" non-adherence to proper documented timekeeping practices was one of the reasons Hon Aero was supposedly audited last year by the government. As for complaints, call the Phoenix District office of the US Department of Labor, Wage & Hour Division (assuming this is Hon Aero Phoenix area), phone 602-514-7100. If it is another state, go to this site: https://www.dol.gov/whd/WHD_district_offices.pdf to find your closest US Department of Labor district office.

Should you really expect to get paid on 12/6 for unscheduled hours worked through Friday 11/30 when it required a supervisor to approve the hours by a 10:00 payroll deadline on Monday 12/2? This is basically a 2 hour window assuming the supervisor came in at 8:00 am.

OH, the HUMANITY of it all!

Frankly, if you're that bad with $$ that you're that desperate for those hours RIGHT NOW, I can only imagine how effective you are at organizing and executing your work.

Sad.

Why don't ask the state labor department if it's legal. If not, contact Payroll and demand they cut you a check immediately. If they don't , file a complaint with the state.

It should have been in your paycheck on the 6th. The pay week would have ended on Sunday, November 30th, with all OT logged in the system through that day. Your supervisor/manager should have approved it all on Monday morning, in time for the payroll cut off of Monday at 10am. Then it should have been in your December 6th paycheck. Considering how the US government was all over HON about their timekeeping practices last year, I'd think that strict adherence to the payroll timekeeping procedures would be mandatory. Sounds like a legit complaint should be filed. Especially if any of this was government work.
