This is some of the stuff our management reminds us of at CDS. How we don’t earn our 30$/hr. Yes when you say 13/hr you’re saying we don’t earn our 30/hr. You sound like a s— a– or someone that’s in management. Just because we make 30/hr doesn’t mean we should be treated like sh–. It k–ls me people compare our benefits with other companies whose benefits s—. At what point do we not stand up and say no it’s not ok to keep losing ground on these damn contracts. With your mindset when NS gets their way and we are paying 800 a month for insurance you’ll be telling us about Jo blo that’s paying 1200 a month and we should be grateful.
If your not willing to go out into the real world and get a non union job, then you should quit b–ching about the union. Either way we get paid about $30/hr to do about $13/hr worth of work, with what is actually pretty good health benefits if you have a family. Some non RR guys I know with families are paying over $800/month just for insurance. The cost of insurance is unreal now days, though I will say it would be nice for the single workers to have a separate cheaper insurance option.
I really think that some of you need laid off for a couple months so you can remember what it is like to have a real job and realize just how good off you have it, which is thanks to the union whether you like it or not.
