Phone meeting called for 12/30 of about 50 second level hotline people. Suspect this is the 60 day notice for this bunch.
I hear about individuals being laid off each week. So while it may not be large waves, it is still happening. And a few that I've heard have been senior positions.
Last year Xerox selected a few people per XBS company to be let go the week before Christmas so nothing surprises me. Also looked like it was largely based on $ as we lost good performers. Knew then we weren't looking to improve sales/processes but just cut cost to get a profit.
It's a valid approach all companies need to do to ensure costs aren't out of hand but not at the expense of the customer.
Has Xerox been doing any layoffs? I would assume the only layoffs are rebadged people which the next big wave is set for January but not sure they are in a position to follow through with that.
Early January...
Very unlikely. Too many people out of office until next year, the logistics would be impossible.
