All this bull c-ap from the NEW Mike and then i hear more outsourcing to the vendor's is taking place. The NEW Mike is either bringing things back in house or he isn't.

IT in house that just stupid, the cost alone of running a Data Center and a DR site is prohibited.
Clients don't need to spend $$ on outsourcing just keep IT in house and hire freelancers / contractors to fill in the gaps and also to do knowledge transfer to boost the current skills of in House IT up.
I can't believe that anyone can work for a ITO company and not understand the reasons why clients outsource.
And ITO includes the management of subcontractors on behalf of the client if need be.
Is it possible to do it another way? Of course, but that's not big corporate thinking.
Disagree with the builder scenario, why would I waste my money and hassle hiring a go between when most professional trade persons are professional, experts in their fields and often or not can co-ordinate between other tradespeople, know what they are doing and need little managing.
Only for big developments (multiple houses) would you need to look at hiring a PM.
For Own home I rather save $$ and hassle of hiring a talker (no action) PM who doesn't know anything / much about building houses and let the professional expert tradespeople build the house in peace and with no interference from a PM who will overcomplicate matters
@129RFvH3-8qkd For the same reason that, if I'm building a house, that would be true if dxc employee's did any of the work. But they don't it's all done by the vendor and dxc get's a cut
New Mike obviously does not care about existing customers dumping DXC en masse as that makes WFRs even easier to complete. The end goal remains the same, so drain the swamp of as many employees as possible and then the party time starts.
Good riddance to leave DXC before it's too late.

For the same reason that, if I'm building a house, I don't want to worry about finding a plumber, electrician, roofer, flooring guy, etc. As a customer, I hire a GC who manages all of that and I have one throat to choke. Sure, I might be able to do it cheaper, hard costs, if I managed all of the subcontractors myself, but my job isn't building houses, it's... something else and my time is also money. And the "it's not my job, it's something else", is why enterprises turned to managed service providers vs. internal resources in the first place.
Agree - more cost effective in the long run to keep core IT staff in house / part of the company and just hire adhoc (demand ramps) up by hiring temporary / freelance staff to put up any extra.

I am an employee so YES it's bad, Outsourcing DXC employee jobs to our vendors is not a good thing for the employee and it will end up k–ling the company as well.
