Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

Q3 revenue is atrocious!

When I first met JV in his first week at Xerox, I told him that we had to focus on revenue first and foremost. His answer: "I disagree. We'll fix cost and if revenue improves, it will be gravy." It was clear to me at that point that he did not have any serious intentions of investing in revenue growth. Shortly thereafter, the BS about "Tech Powerhouse" started and thank God, I left for a better career opportunity.

When the stock price took a large hit in Q2 because of disappointing revenue performance, they started throwing incremental commissions to the sale force despite having said before that the old comp. scheme was too generous and rewarding the wrong behaviors (i.e., churns vs. growing install base). There are a few comments on this site from sale folks saying that this is going to be their best compensation year in a long time while revenue is declining at ~9%!

When overly generous sales comp will no longer be sufficient to boost short term revenue, they'll start cooking the books. JV often refers to what he has on the 'left door' to massage results. SEC, be aware and investors, stay away!

Despite all of this, I am hearing that Q3 revenue continue to s— big time. Anyone has further insights on this?

Great to hear from some of you that Q3 revenue is good. The cooking of the books must be in full swing. See comments about shipping stuff to warehouses and recording revenue, pleading with customers to buy the c-ap at huge discounts and throwing money at the sales reps.

It will be difficult for the street to see through the manipulation because the crazy cost cutting going on will mask the margin problem created by unprofitable revenue activities. At some point however, they won’t be able to keep up with these artificial actions and things will come tumbling down. Just look at what happened with Conduent. Xerox is on the exact same path as there are no real investments made to grow revenue, just Tech Power house marketing BS.

Also why do we need to take pay JV, BO and the rest of the crooks 5x more than the prior C-suite? Is it because of their superior ability to cook the books and tell lies to the shareholders?

Yes Q3 numbers are good as they were well above projections. Although that is specific to Xerox Direct. Maybe GIS didnt sell much, which could very well be the case since there seems to be a lot of GIS complaining on here.

We also got email from Feldman announcing Xerox had #1 market share so far this year. Things may not be as bad as this place would lead you to believe. Although there is going to be a huge drop in quality of the work through HCL. I dont know that the cost savings is going to pay off in the end.

We will be posting good results for Q3 because we deliver most of our last days stuff to warehouses and storerooms. it's still wrapped and waiting to be installed in the next coupe of months. we give it away with huge discounts if they would let us drop it off. Just to hit numbers even if its supposed to be installed and making copies in order to count for $$

No idea what kind of troll posted the reply saying Q3 looks good, they must be either Xerox stock owners, Xerox social media staff, assuming they actually pay for social media manipulators or some kind of random lunatic.
In any a case a few weeks will tell.
My bet is the post was total BS and earnings tank again.

Dear 1wyu and 1ygw,
Given that you’re so happy with your job at Xerox, what the $&@! are you doing on this site? I feel a rat or at least an “HR partner”

I completely agree with @11pZORQK-1wyu, regarding the original poster. If you are off being productive at your new job, why bother taking the time to visit this site. And if you were part of JV's inner circle, providing your advice and all, it seems odd you would post as such. I think we all need to reevaluate our business maturity. (and before it is mentioned, I am not a Xerox Executive trolling the site.)

@11pZORQK-1bpe

why do people who have left the company continue to feel it necessary to come on here as scream at the folks who are still with the company. Is it ideal - no. but why you gotta be so mad bro? Not everyone at xerox is miserable. I'm sure some/many are, but screaming at people for collecting a pay check is confusing.

I wonder if anyone still associated with Xerox direct or one of the Global cores can see it is the beginning of the end

Even if... even IF that wasn’t the case, there is NO REASON to continue with this Xerox company after all the hurtful business practices - unless you are so close to retirement that to you, it’s worth trying to stick it out

Otherwise...
This all s—s!

Books are likely already cooked. Too bad SEC isn’t monitoring this forum. Sadly, “investors” don’t care about people or sustainable business. only performance of the market metrics. Witness the investor rally on news of GE slashing their pension plan.

I heard the same thing, 3rd quarter was pretty good.

Sales only knows how to eat it's own babies ("churning" not growing). There are no 'hunters' in the sales community only self-serving opportunistic used car dealers.

I’m interested to see if a Q3 report shows sustainable growth of any kind
My guess is any positive result will be completely based on cost cutting and not forward growth
Cutting only lasts so long. Right up until there’s literally nothing left.
That seems to be the plan to me- make it look good hoping for a sale or at least time to get out with some profit.
Time will tell
We will all see.
