Did anyone else receive and extension on their contract from HCL??? Mine is until December 2020 but I just want to be laid off already!!

Our last day was dec 2 2019 at a core. Promised bonus and severance now It looks like we’re not getting anything
No, the extension email was for payroll purposes only. No contract addendum to extend the time was attached. X and HCL are trying to figure out what the hell to do next...extend for six more months or cut us loose. I wouldn't read anything into it at all. We're on borrowed time, that hasn't changed.
Sounds like it gives you more time to find the perfect job. I wouldn't wait for a layoff, it's not like Xerox will give out a good severance package like in years past.
The project is extended to December 2020 for time keeping purposes, nothing more.
Are you tied to your desk? Does HCL have pictures of you in compromising positions? Do we still not live in America where you can make choices of your own free will, including those relating to employment? Is the job market still not ON FIRE with only 3.7% unemployed? Who gives a sh– about the extension - get off your tail and find a job at a place that doesn't s— as bad as XRX. It won't be difficult.
Yes certain people got 6 month extensions, some at my core did, the December 2020 is not the end date, that was done only so Itime will work as all our end dates in Itime was today, if you got your letter that is still valid, if you got a 6 month extension your HR wpuld have confirmed that with you
