Last Monday was the day of the post, so wouldn't "this coming Monday" have been...yesterday? The timeline is proven false, but NS future in Roanoke looks bleak, so I wouldn't make any long term plans to stay employed by NS if I work for them in Roanoke.

Its Tuesday wheres the notice? You mean your five days notice? You must not have paid much attention a month ago. Your five days notice happens the day of the layoff/ facility closure. Then they pay you for 5 days and walk you out. So long. Good Luck everyone.
Not a news site, but a place to share rumors. Some turn out to be true, some don’t. But can almost always predict which rumors are bull., like the first responder did.
I always disregard the ones not giving you any detail like this one, and the ones giving you too much detail (“the guy sitting on the first floor next to the... overheard the CEO” kind).
The ones which get a lot of replies and reactions are the ones you need to pay attention to.
