Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

Best option is to desert this sinking ship ASAP

Worked for mother X for far too long, I could wax lyrical about how it has become a sinking pile of doodoo but will not.
My advice is think carefully about your situation, Xerox will not, find an opportunity and seize it.
This ship hit the iceberg a while ago, the captain is too dumb to realize.

@ 2nfk Agree switch to 2- 8 weeks severance with 2 weeks medical has driven the flood of employees leaving. It seems the executives are living so high they have no clue that only 2 weeks medical would drive almost anyone below them to find employment elsewhere as soon as possible! With the US job market being ripe for hiring; Xerox is now very vulnerable.
Hope XDX enjoys those new college hires in Raleigh; beware they’ll move on in 12-18 months. Higher pay, more interesting work , etc.

I left in the beginning of the year. Writing was on the wall. I landed with equivalent pay but way better benefits that cost significantly less with a better company match. Despite that I didn't turn off my Glassdoor alerts and got one about Xerox today. The only good reviews came from India where most of our jobs were outsourced. Guatemala doesn't seem to have anything to say. But what the majority say are that management is awful. The people that can leave, do leave so what's left is muck. I liked my coworkers but most of them barely worked 4 hours a day. They let go of far better employees. But the switch to 2-12 weeks severence with only 2 week medical is going to cost them because now there is zero incentive to stay to keep things afloat. I'm so sad about it too because I worked most of my career there and it used to be a place I was proud to work. If they want to succeed, they have to invest in the front lines and stop the greed of the bottom line. There is no way these C-level execs should get millions when they have left this company teetering on edge. I went 10 years with 1-2% raises when there were any while health premiums and deductibles skyrocketed. John V. a captain should go down with his ship and take the disgraceful demon Icahn with you when you sink.

Completely agreed
I’m in HCL now and completely hope I’m on the deck standing beside the violinist of the band so I can watch the sinking close up, live and in person.
I know we are all going and I want to see the faces of the Powerhouse Three when we do
