Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Jo Mason (Steak cutter) Mid Year review

What a crock of sh*t. Mid-year, end of year is all a waste of my time, my colleagues time, my managers time , their managers time. Give US pay raises NOW or forgert all this time wasted processes.

#ISeeDXC fail

Employees are responsible for managing their own careers. Rotations and promotions remain discretionary and subject to availability, business needs and individual situations. Development plan information provided by the employee to DXC Technology is encouraged but voluntary; DXC Technology management and HR may use the development plan information in the context of other talent processes and decisions such as leadership development programs, succession plans, career and talent moves.

80 percent of mid-year reviews are cancelled because 90 percent of you won't be around in 3 months and 100 percent of company won't exist in 6. On a positive note, there will be a new chairman of the board after 31/12/2019.

“DXC Technology management and HR may use the development plan information in the context of other talent processes” ...such as workforce optimisation?

With no rewards, what is the point. Plus, for years I’ve worked for managers that know very little of what I do day to day. So, I basically write my review myself, sometimes comments are thrown in by colleagues and then I meet with my manager where he now she reads it back to me and says good job but no money. I wish they wouldn’t waste our time with it.

@1ubf: What is holding you back? What is really going to change? Take control of your own destiny: find something better and quit. You'll get two pay rises. First, whatever pay you can negotiate. Second, the cost of benefits is so much less elsewhere. My benefits cost literally fell from $720 to $85 per pay simply by leaving.

Every time I see something about this crock of sht and I see something about "goals" I want to throw up. I am so tempted to put in as my only goal "find a job where I am treated like a human being and leave this shthole behind!"

The last review cycle, along with their "calibration" exercise, of giving everyone ratings from 1-4 were pointless. I personally know people who were WFR'd after getting top scores and meeting and surpassing goals.
