DXC Management using phones to record Employees

If you think you are a target for a layoff but have gotten great performance reviews I would be careful about what you say during any 1-1 meeting with your manager or colleagues. I had several meetings with my manager over the last several weeks where my manager asked me strange and leading questions basically trying to get me to bash other employees and the company. I also noticed them playing with their phone during these conversations. I suspected after the first they were recording the meeting and then verified it after the 2nd meeting.

You have 1 on1s with your manager in person? My manger doesnt even live in the same COUNTRY as me, probably to save on mgmt $$$.

Whoever said DXC can’t do this because it is “illegal” is a mo–n. Since when does this company follow laws.

The second your laid off, disconnect your computer from the network by pulling the network cable. Then archive all your mail to a PST on your local hard drive. Then Run Windows backup and backup the whole drive and verify you got everything. I also use a homemade script to copy files from my OneDrive once in a while.

When I am done with DXC, my OneDrive and may hard drive will be erased clean. They might have backups of OneDrive, but don't think they have backups of my hard drive

DXC can't use phones to record because it's illegal in the US to record a phone conversion without the others knowledge . There are no company paid phones, so they can't use that as an excuse.

Agree that's the main trouble with DXC and dragging itself down to sc-ap heap - $££$$%£ stabbing back managers.

Don't join this hill-berry outfit until Sal (if he does) reorganize this company and get rid of inefficiences, back stabbing managers and change the culture at DXC.

Take copies of your appraisals, client feedback and other personal stuff - as what's reported is true; they give you WFR notice, take your privaliges away and take away support you did enjoy with fellow colleagues (those colleagues either ignore you or gloat that they still got a job and plenty of work at this hill-berry company) , plus often or not when you work notice you do this on garden leave

Yes this happens. Don’t trust any of them, they come across as collegiate, but, they will stab you in the back to meet their numbers. All the old, local, within team managers are long gone. Just (mainly) company backstabbers left I’m afraid.

I got layed off unexpectedly at DXC and can only confirm. I had a new manager - who I taught was very empathic, but now I know it is just manipulation. They take words and email out of context to cover themselves up if ever it would go to court. Be also aware that layoff will come out of the blue, and that your access to mail, your pc, and so is taken away on the spot. The microsoft client gets locked remotely and as the data is encrypted, you do not have access to any of your documents anymore after getting the bad news. So always keep this in mind and take copies from your reviews/important emails concerning special awards you received/ good reviews from clients/... but also (for sales) contracts concerning your variable pay for deals won- as you will not see anything of it once fired, and you will need to go to court if you want to get what is legally yours.

I can assure you - DXC does not follow any legal requirement once you are in the target numbers.
