Thread regarding Windstream Corp. layoffs

This company should have more respect for their employees

This is so disturbing that they layoff people without warning. Have some respect for us and give us the good bad and ugly instead this layoff bull behind everyone's back. We're are adults and understand the fact layoffs are part of the business especially since the company is in bankruptcy. smoking mirrors that you want us to believe the company is doing well or on the right track It's not accurate.have an all employee call with the leadership leading it telling us this is what's happening as results of our failed business.the leadership never addresses layoffs never before they happen or after they happen!

Well said, @11LXqojz-1wlk.

This is the final act, these pieces of garbage are getting their monies. These disgusting people doesn't care how many lives they've ruined. Just unbelievable what people would do for money. At the end of the day you'll have to answer to god, enjoy your ill gotten gains now, you will pay the price one day.

I found it ironic that TT posted the employee survey “results” the following day on Stream. They always talk about how good the results are. BS! How stupid do you think we are TT? You can’t p1ss down our back and tell us it’s raining. You are a scumbag just like the rest of the executives. Your horrible business decisions have ruined the lives of tons of families and you could care less.

I wonder if you will visit the French Alps again this year and Stream about having happy thoughts.

They had to do layoffs to cover the $25 million in bonuses they took at the first of the year.

When I resigned I gave nearly 3 weeks notice, but my manager worked from home and did not respond to emails or voicemails. So by the time he got back to me and put it into HR it was 8 days prior to my last day. HR refused to pay me my 3 weeks of PTO and told me I could never work at Windstream again. HR is out to get employees, not help them. But now I have actual health insurance and get annual raises and bonuses, I would never under any circumstance work at Windstream again. I have been in telecom over 20yrs and have never seen such a poor network composed of EOL equipment and half assed installs by contractors.

Engineering got hit hard. If they told people before hand, do you realize the damage one can do. I worked for MCI. They told us we were safe until after the holidays until 2 weeks before Christmas, they came in with the boxes and names. My company was bought by them. I was kept for 2 more years and offered a position in another state. They aren't gonna tell you. None do that I have ever worked for

If Win was making money they still wouldn’t be sitting in bq. The question is how do they repay the money borrowed during bankruptcy or what assets will be taken.

Well Id say its time for a change and I mean I have Windstream and they are not the best but its better then nothing But my opinion is just dismantle the company and let somebody take over I mean there are always gonna be layoffs no matter how you look at it

We are doing a chap 11. How much warning that your job is in jeopardy do you need? Either move on or stay for the abusive opportunities. Or just slack off until your boss notices and lays you off too. Good luck with a reference if you choose the last option.
You give people warning - who are already angry - and some with sabotage on their way out. ... tell me you wouldn’t mess up a few things too?

Rumor is spreading that 70 in engineering were let go, and 300 potentially across the US.
This is probably just a part of the Chapter 11 restructuring....I honestly think WIN will make it after the court releases them from their debt obligations....They are making revenue.

Layoffs are the business with these fools. Its part of the smoke and mirrors game they play with Wall Street. They have been using rolling stealth layoffs prior to financial reporting followed by hiring contractors with zero experience at lower pay ( followed by more stealth layoffs...) for as long as I can remember. Wall Street knew too but as long as investors could make money off the dividend no one cared. Once they mismanaged themselves into a corner and gave up up the dividend, Wall Street turned on them and now no one good will work for them or invest in them.
