I think Alex has been pretty clear that we are done with layoffs time and time again. And I’m a big sceptic on/of our mgmt. but he’s been very consistent with that message and if he went back on it he would lose all credibility forever. I heard Suncor was next for another round they are a fairly heavy organization, just look at how many CVE people they hired during our layoffs.
CVE official statement soon:
"We're following the industry trend/best practices, etc."
Oil price will recovery when the Fed kicks up the next round of QE and weaken the dollar.
That will be the pivot.
I wonder id CVE will use this as an excuse to do the only thing they have been successful at over the past three years.
So glad I picked a career in the oil patch ..
