Will take Mark Hurd any day over Meg Whitman. However, he contributed to lot of families being destroyed especially that it was during the recession. I know many of my friends had to file bankruptcy because of him
Yes, I Hurd this last week.
He toured around the Bracknell office in the HP days .... and brought bodyguards with him on the walkabout..
He was far better than the people who we have now. RIP Hurd.
RIP, i was certainly not a fan, but I'm sorry for his family. We all get judged in the end by God!
Any death is sad but Hurd really didn't make many friends during his time at HP. He was completely cost-driven, didn't realise that R&D was never going to produce ROI on a quarter by quarter basis so ripped the heart out of it and asked everyone in HP to take a 10% pay cut which you might never get back and wouldn't save your job. Not impressed.
