Rumor regarding vacation "cut"

Not sure where this is coming from... Aero, "TM", "JE" or ...

I've heard the rumor two ways. 1) On average, they want 2 days less vacation per person in Q4 vs last year. 2) They are having everyone enter their vacation plans and then they're going to reduce or not approve 2 days of it.

Anyone else hearing anything or know any facts?

I was told by my manager to be sure you put in TWB all the vacation you have left ( using the old accrual system we use under the table.....like with my 35+ years I have 240 hrs for yr) or they will not let you use hrs you not put in TWB ahead of time .

Managing people's vacation to zero ought to really move needle on the People Pulse results (how likely are you to recommend Honeywell as an employer?). In Aero the vacation counts against DDLP metric (daily direct labor per person or something like that) which was supposed to replace EEI. So we shouldn't be too surprised

I know people who were told to get their vacation plans approved through the end of the year then were denied most of the vacation around November and December. So much for Unlimited. LOL. It was just something they could hold over people's heads while telling them to work more EEI.

Honeywell top three priorities.
1) Don’t miss the quarter numbers.
2) Don’t miss the quarter numbers.
3) Don’t miss the quarter numbers.

Aero got a flowdown to cut costs by 5% through the end of the year to make up for other business falling short in Q4. I wouldnt doubt that cutting vacation is in play to help make the 5%.

If they do, I will use 5 more sick days through December.

I heard that they converted a bunch of people to direct charge and the actual hours went DOWN. Directors are blaming employees. JE sent out an email telling everyone to charge for travel from house to hotel on sundays. I have emails from his staff members telling me exactly the opposite when it was their nickel being billed.
Don’t they realize that telling engineers that they are required to charge 46 hours is the same as telling them don’t waste hours one week you might need the next.
