The education benefit is a joke for the aerospace industry. Makes it nearly impossible to keep a band 3 engineer.

I left after 15 yrs of slow and steady decline. I'm over 55 - there are better jobs out there if you were a performer. Nice jump in salary, signing bonus and better benefits - yes it's possible.

I'm on the fence. I like the work I do. I like my boss. But the people management practices at higher levels are BS. The unwritten but enforced vacation policy, expected 15% over time all the time, high direct charge yield targets k–led most improvement projects and training. And now reducing T3/T4 headcount to reach 20:1 ee to mgr ratio. I'm polishing my resume after only 3yrs here so not sure I can recommend it to someonee else.

I retired from Honeywell just before they gave control of the site to a contractor in Tucson. My daughter graduated last year from Purdue with a degree in technical writing. She told me she was applying to Honeywell. I told if you really need a job, Honeywell will do BUT do not stop looking and do not believe ANY promises they make.

Not true. Its more likely TM, JE or one of the Cadre of senior directors and VP, for who life is good at Honeywell. Where they are richly rewarded for coming up with catchy and thought provoking slogans like "future sharpers", or "power of connected".. or " Scram Jones, you're fired!"

The Honeywell I work for is a great place to work. Good money, great pension, awesome colleagues, flexible working. Who could want more?

Recommend only if they are in desperate need of a pay check. And rent, not buy. And tell them to start looking elsewhere after a year.

Nope, wouldn’t recommend it given current employee policies and benefits. In fact, have discouraged others from applying when I have been asked about it.

I don't have anywhere near the venom for Honeywell that many on this board do, but I'd still never recruit a friend to work here. It's a bigger grind than any other company I've worked for. As a mgr, I've never seen so many unpublished/unofficial policies/metrics that engineers are held to. The PIP quota is especially absurd. Lots of good talent has been wasted.

I definitely wouldn't recommend it.

If you want to waste your career and life then work at Honeywell, there are better things to be doing in life. There is NO Career progression at this company. Sometimes ignorance is bliss at the management level.

Leadership can’t even put out an honest survey. I couldn’t give Honeywell the zero it deserves because 0 through 3 were grouped into the lowest selectable category.
