I’ve been doing my worst at work, openly browsing non work-related content on my browser, and generally being a bad employee. Got the BE as expected. I’m planning to quit anyway and will be very disappointed if I don’t get a paid vacation. Anyone else in the same boat?

Hi. There’s a big difference between getting laid off cause of downsizing or because of poor performance. They don’t have to give you anything if you are getting let go for poor performance. Just saying choose your actions wisely.
I’m on your boat 100%. I’ve gotten exceeds expectation multiple times and finally got BE. My dream here the past year is to get laid off. #vacation The BE served me a benefit in two ways: you either have to lay me off or I’m going to do my job (the bear minimum, never more) and give you a reason and show you what BE is to put me on that last. aka I’m going to do this what are going to do, fire me....
There is a big difference of getting laid off from downsizing to being a poor performing employee. They don’t have to offer you a package if you are a poor performing employee. They can scan computer to show what you are doing during work hours. Just saying I know a few people that got let go and did not get a package for this reasoning. Just Be Careful for what you wish for. It’s easier to look for a job while you have one. With everything happening in the market right now, all major big banks are laying off and have hiring freezes. I heard from numerous sources that most companies are not hiring until after the next Fed meeting. Good Luck to everyone
Got my BE. They picked the wrong person to give a BE to. I'm just saying.
Please update this post on Monday or tuesday. I want to know what happens.I got let go in January and it continues. I am 59 and been there for 23 years. First be I ever got and I was gone along with many others. Most of 20-25 years working there. But don't feel bad if they let you go. Everyone says I am a much better person being out of there. Keep your head high ,smile and just leave. Don't give them the satisfaction of one tear!!! Good luck

They will want you leave without a payout and push for it. Do as little as possible for the next year and they might consider you. Other than that they will pick others and hope u will walk without a payout

You won't be staff actioned. They will let go of the smartest and hardest worker on your team.
OMG!!!!! This is THE BEST POST I’ve read on this site. Thank you!!! I laughed so hard!!! I requested to be laid off in January and still here. (Though it’s worked out that I am) I got my BE this week and got word I will be. Just don’t know when yet. I too am hoping for Monday. 🤞🤞
