Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

XBS core check in - August

Well here we are. Our core is losing a lot of staff. Both HCL rebadged and non-rebadged. It’s becoming comical (not really). Management still in denial. No one has gotten notice of termination from HCL yet, but it has to be right around the corner. We can’t get temps in here quick enough to fill all the voids. It’s sad.

How are things going at your core?

It's limbo in the East. The morale is down. Don't feel a purpose anymore or a light at the end of the tunnel. We rebadged employees are saddened by the way Xerox is treating us. No loyalty to the common hard working employee. Just greed.
Knowing that we are just a number with no face is truly sad.

At MOS we have it made :)
Popcorn Friday’s
Random ice cream sandwich treats (these ALWAYS coincide with bad news)
AND we recently were treated to an evening out at a baseball game where everyone pretended none of this ever happened.
That fun Wednesday morale boost almost got us through to the end of the week!

@10xLKvfM-1ope - agree X 1000. Our culture, morale, who we were is GONE. I used to proud to work for my core. Not anymore. It's depressing as he11... empty cubes, unfamiliar faces, disconnected management... a far cry from the company I signed on to work for oh-so-many years ago. There's no coming back from this.

we keep being asked to sign off on SOP's with steps and processes we don't even do, we sent you all the info multiple times HCL, what the hell are you doing with it, we were told the ones being trained in india, guatemala and phillipines will be using scripts, they will not be allowed to think or make a decision, are you kidding me, 90% of what I do is making judgement calls, I guarantee it will take 5 people to do what I can get done in a day, so HCL you're going to spend way more than you pay me to get worse results, sounds like you've had too much zerox koolaid!

We were told that our time is up in early January. Half a dozen people coming to be trained later this month. Told the process should take about 20 weeks. Should be an interesting few months!

Please please please I am urging all of the people who work their asses off at the GIS cores to find another job. I promise you there is better companies out there. They value you and they pay better for the hard work you have been doing for years at underpaid wages. I am so happy since I left GIS/XBS/XEROX/HCL. The amount of stress and negativity you are all enduring is not worth a bonus that will be heavily taxed and be your sole income when you are laid off. Here's another point to this whole ordeal, even if hell freezes over and you get to stay working at your core it will never be what you once loved about work. The culture is gone, the people are gone, it's not the same and it never will be. I hope you can all realize that soon and make the healthy move for yourself while you still have time to be the one in control of the decision. It's not worth it. They are treating you all like dirt and like you dont matter as people. You do, and I know so many of you who have extremely valuable skills and work ethic and there are companies out there who care and offer better culture then GIS ever had. Do it for you.

My core told the HCL rebadged will have a job until the end of the year. Nothing promised. Hope's some will be kept at the core. HCL will be here very soon. They aren't even planning on taking the complete process. What does that mean. You can't process half of it.

Our core just recently merged with another Midwest core. So, more to do but with less staff. We have lost over 40 people since the beginning of the year. We are losing about one person a week.

Yeah, my Core is losing folks, too. So, management now has to interview temps to fill-in. The funny thing is there will be like two or three interviews scheduled and only one shows up or one is hired and they last week.....what a nitemare!!!!

We've had HCL in for 5 weeks now, like 8 of them, all they do is take our process docs and rewrite them, haven't really trained much so not sure what the hell they are doing, oh I know the sh–storm is coming, I honestly just want my end date, heard some cores have been told all rebadged are done end of year, who knows, still absolutely believe the ones in charge at HCL haven't got a clue as to what they are doing
