Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

Possible Stock hit & Reorg in September

Rumor is some of the lawsuits filed in the past on cloud revenue have some strong evidence and good testimony. Only thing keeping the court cases on hold is the stock price. No one has suffered a loss in spite of the inflated numbers.

Bad news is coming on some business practices that will more than likely have a negative impact on the stock price. There are several Government investigations inside and outside the US right now on Oracle business practices. If the stock tumbles it will be a double whammy as the lawsuits will kick in.

Employment discrimination cases are still underway. Women minorities and now age discrimination employment, these lawsuits are on a separate track but may surface at the same time.

Additionally there is a rumor of a senior executive stepping down some time between September and the end of the year.

The big red 12 running cloud have some serious political infighting and some very unrealistic deadlines.

Total rumor at this point but rumor is some security and networking issues need to be addressed in the gen2 cloud.

Roll out in Australia may have problems coupled with some less than ethical business practices may come to light.

Even if everything is good a major shift is planned for the on premise products and work force next spring around Easter.

All I can say is a perfect storm is brewing.

Huffington Post is finalizing their expose on the cloud revenue fraud.

So, the old "the SEC is going audit Oracle any day now" line has run out of gas? Saying that HuffPo is going to expose them instead strikes me as a serious step down. What's next, the Podunk Picayune will be writing a scathing expose?

Huffington Post is finalizing their expose on the cloud revenue fraud. They were able to interview several key current and former employees. Between the timing of the lawsuit and their article coming out, it will most definitely be the end for Oracle.

Unethical business in Australia..

Although really the customer is a bit stupid here. Who buys a core banking platform that has never been implemented before.

Spain and Italy? Beautiful. And these are still EU countries ffs, although somewhat known for corruption. So you can imagine what's going on in Middle East or Africa.

"Well, Oracle Romania country director arrested"
well, the same happened in at least another 2 EMEA countries, Spain and Italy, in the last 2 years. I know for sure about these 2 countries but maybe there are more. things have been put under silence with lot of money and "classified" legal actions. both Tech directors have been asked to resign before the legal proceeding with a huge severance.

But but but but what about all those ethics and anti corruption webinars and exams I had to take and pass every two years? Oh I get it, only the little people had to follow them. Ahhh I already knew that,

I know nothing about problems with the Australian rollout. As far as I know it's on schedule.

But unethical business practices in Australia? Yes. Maybe linked to the departure this week of the Public Sector VP?

Unrealistic deadlines? Like opening all those new data centers by the end of the year? When I read that I was really wondering how the heck they do it. Maybe if they invest some of the money coming from the stock buybacks but we know where that went
