What we are now seeing is the abject failure of Hackett's "Design Thinking" and his belief you don't need to know anything about the auto industry or vehicle development. Even while this program was launched and already having significant problems, upper management and Hackett were claiming success and implementing the same bad decisions plus even deeper development and test changes to other programs. Now after ensuring massive failed launches and recalls, they are focused on cost cutting parts. Demanding to find the cheapest material and suppliers. For those of us with experience, it's like watching what was done in the past that nearly destroyed us before.
