Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

If you aren't happy, leave!

So much whining here. The economy is good, there are lots of jobs out there that may pay more.

If you are truly unhappy with your job, with Xerox, and with the direction it is headed, why dwell on it? Why continue to stress yourself out, worry about your future, and sabotage the company?

There are still many of us who like what we do, who we work with, and have hopes the company will prosper.

I can't imagine having all the stress and unhappiness I'm seeing here and continue to work everyday. Leave! You'll be happier, and so will your coworkers who remain behind.

To the fool who started this thread. GROW UP because when those deals dong get approved the only individuals whining will be you. There are many who cannot fill out a simple Maintenance Agreement, right size a contract or read a QBR and so much more. Good luck getting those roll backs approved, billing reconciled and having the luxury of someone at your core able to assist. No worries you will miss all those hard working individuals when your deals don’t get approved and believe me they will not.

Well, from the XBS' point of view, it's heartbreaking!!! A lot of the Cores worked will hard to make yearly plan to just have Xerox leadership come along and do them like they did. It's a real kick in pants!!! I feel for the Core Service and Sales teams, as well as, Xerox folks who are going to have to deal with the aftermath of HCL's dismantling of US back office functions and moving them offshore. There is going to be a lot of "lost in translation" and data integrity issues, which will effect customer service greatly!!!! These back office functions are more than just straight data entry. There is a lot of communication that takes place between these function groups and the Sales and Service teams to ensure that what is "data entered" meets customer expectations. I do wish Xerox the best and I hold no grudges...business is business! However, this was an ugly move Xerox leadership made that will probably back fire and the Competition knows it! Overall, it not whining....it's just sad!!!!

Oh my god I never tought of that! Leaving! How could I be so dumb! Here I am at a job I love, worked here for years and feel like I cam change things still from the inside but then you come along and make it so clear!! This is the most glorious day of my career. What am I waiting for? I'll spin the rolodex and just pick a new job that people are just throwing at us. Thank YOU for providing this answer of which I couldn't fathom.
